wot was it?

ok i dont have much info here but im hoping that someone can maybe give me some idea what i saw last night, i was out walking the dog when i saw a very bright light in the sky which i thought was a very bright star, as the light died down it was almost like summit triangle in shape as the lights died down it went right over me at great height and speed, the only bases i live near are mildenhall and lakenheath could it have been just a plane on manouvers or summit being tested perhaps? i ask this as i dont want go shouting i saw summit that was nothing i dont want my mind playing tricks on me and making me want to see summit it isnt, any advice or help would be appreciated, i wouldnt mention any of this normally as i dont have to show just what i saw.

I used to be down that way Bury st Edmunds to be exact and i know what your talking about.

What i think you saw was military planes with the landing lights on there really bright hay ? And when there pretty far out there almost silent it look's odd.

However like i said what i think you saw were military plane's with landing lights on.

There is always the possibility you saw something else tho i have seen some wierd thing's in the sky around there.

to be honest anything is plausable out here and i keep seeing more weird lights, i always look for the landing lights or summit to say its normal but this one didnt it seemed to move so fast across the sky was the thing that spooked me out from a stationary bright light to summit suddnly moving off fast not hyper fast but not a normal plane that usually flys over on manouvers, its made me take my camera out now so i can get summit and see what people think, im not trying to say anything about what it was so if i get some photo of it sometime i dont want people shouting photoshop at me like some do on here....lol
id just like to think the skies out here are safe
talking of bury m8 theres been a lot seen at thetford forrest over the years we used to go there at nights to mess around and always seemed to leave the place sharpish after some weird noises or bright lights.....

I used to be closer to thetford than bury in all honesty. Once stayed on the small R.A.F camp a few miles down the road.

I was in the army by the way but yer it's an interesting place.

thanks lee i took a look at your thread and the videos on utube, now it has some similaries to what i saw, mine was much higher, but it did glow like they did and then did move fast but was watchable to follow but when i looked to where my dog was i looked up and couldnt find it and the sky was very clear and easy to see anything moving across the sky, the shapes on the video looked more square and the one i saw was def triangle in shape...weird huh.

Triangle shape hmm well i have seen F117's flying around that area during the day.

Think they were going to lakenheath ? correct spelling ? So maybe you saw one flying at night ?
