Bizarre creatures discovered

DARTMOUTH -- Going where no man has gone before, a diving robot has retrieved samples and images of bizarre creatures from deep off the coasts of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

Marine scientists in Dartmouth sent the robot into the Sable gully marine protected area and several other regions where it registered photos of an octopus with ears that make it resemble "Dumbo the Elephant" and other equally strange animals.

I guess dumbo the elephant will have a new look alike.

Great Find Equinox. I love how we are always finding new species and creatures around us. We should fully explore the Earth before we go off into space!

wow, awesome find. it seems every year or so, new species of animal life are found on this earth, i wonder how many are still undiscovered?

If you guys are interested in this creature, watch Blue Planet on Discovery Channel. I love that show, and I remember a short segment about these particular squids. Too cute!

the one poster was right-its not undiscovered and actually i believe its called a dumbo squid--believe it or not..

Wasnt that supposed to be a kind of squid. I think it was found in the ocean a couple of years ago

looks like a dumbo octopus swimming around to me.
