I know this was to not directed to me, but I can not let pass the fact that an object can reflect light and do not have a shining appearance, and I think that shots was talking about the shininess of the supposed surface of the Moon.

Actually, the fax viewer is the one who adds information, it interpolates the pixels and creates what it "thinks" would be a bigger version of the image.
