About 10 minutes ago my phone started going funny :S I tried to send a text, and it said 'message failed, sent to outbox' so I thought that maybe O2 hadn't added my 10% credit back but it wouldn't ring the number to check credit. So then I tried to ring the person I was going to text but it also said 'call failed', and then I tried to ring my mobile from my landline but it just went to my voice mail, I then tried to access my WAP and it said 'GPRS failed'. All this time it said the O2-UK service logo and said it had 5 bar signal, so I couldn't figure out why it was going weird.

I took the back off to see if maybe the sim card had slipped, but it seemed fine and when I switched my phone back on the signal and service provider logo had vanished. The person I was trying to contact is on O2-UK (although on a contract, whereas I'm on pay as you go), so I doubt it's UK themselves...

I don't understand why it's done this, I used it to text and make a phone call only a couple of hours ago and it's just been sat on the floor since then (no I didn't stand on it
)

Any ideas? I don't think it's the sim because I can still see my numbers, and check the amount of space I have left on my sim :|

it sounds like a network coverage or reception problem. Perhaps the network is conjested?

Try again a little later.

What is "O2"? Who is your provider?
Well, I'll tell you the REAL problem. In 1988 I got an analog phone from my employer. It was awesome. Just like talking on a regular landline. My observation is that cell phone quality (aside from all the bells and whistles) has gone down ever since. The delay when speaking--like talkiing on an overseas call; the bandwidth provided is so narrow a voice-like sound barelay gets through. I have a Sony Erricson now, I'm counting down to the end of my contract. Piece of crap.
