China in Afganistan

Possible movement of troops who specialize in breaking chinese information to be moved to Afghanistan. This order was recently given to troops that are affiliated with breaking down transmissions of Chinese origin. Activity is growing in that area and concern that US. China could escalate conflicts in the area. Has anyone else heard anything about this as well?

There's an ancient Afghan saying, that if God wants to punish any nation, He'll send them to Afghanistan. Just look up to all the previous invasions into Afghanistan and this statement seems true. The recent Soviet invasion of Afghanistan was a total disaster, although the Soviets had a mighty army with much superior and sophisticated weapons, they had to piss off with their tails in between their legs. Afghanistan is a rugged terrain and only the hardy can survive there.

I receive a bi-monthly magazine from China published by their propaganda department named "The Messenger".

It's a looks good, feels good type news mag about current events in China.

One thing I found most fascinating just a few months ago was that China is building a railroad and up-grading a highway, into Tibet. This is great for Tibet's tourism on the face of it. BUT, it makes even a better way to move lots of stuff and people into a difficult region.

India is just a stone's throw away, so it does make a guy wonder what they are up to.
