I ran into this site and it freaked me out. I knew that '70's bands had reverse messaging but Brittney?!
check out the site and tell me what you think.

www.albinoblacksheep.com...

you gotta sit through the Queen song and then there will be a link to the Brittney song and there is also a Led Zeppelin song...(I hope I spelled it right, it was before my time )

Wow, they really are reaching here. I mean, if you go through enough material and reverse it (which is easy peasy with today's technology) you will find things.
And while the Queen thing is plausable (and true, wakka wakka) due to the repetition and phrasing, the Spears stuff is a small clip taken from mid-chorus and I doubt it was planned by anyone. Why would the producer that's writing that talentless zero's music jeopordize the cash flow with reverse messages?

Although, Spears always had a slightly questionable line in one of her older hits, I believe it was,"Tnuc diput sama I." Maybe this website is onto something.

i think the whole thing is that its supposed to be subliminal. Brittney, Queen and others didn't realize they were doing the reverse speech thing. try it yourself.
ask a buddy different questions and record his answers (without letting him know what you're up to) and then play them back and see if anything weird pops out at you.
supposedly we speak our answers with our conscious but we speak the truth with our subconscious.

check it out:

edited for spelling ...as usual

not sure why this is in religious conspiracies? Dont see the link. (besides knowing that Christians seem to be the one who first harped on this back in the 80's or whatever, with rock music)

But as the reverse speech site says, it goes beyond religion and into everyday life...from babies, to Bush.

Peace

I really doubt their doing this intentionally, because i'm in a band, and just for kicks i played some of our music backwards and there was some weird stuff in it. And I know it wasn't anything intentionally done because I wrote the lyrics to that one.

Holy cow!!!! Thats some funny stuff. As long as these are real backwards clips. That's insane. I've spun records backwards just to hear what it sounded like as a kid. But those were clear messages.

That backwards message in Britney's song kinda fits dont't it??

Isn't she pregnant again?

I've heard only words here and there listening to records backwards, I've never heard clear message's like on that albino site. Good find Darkheart.

First it was the ugly little T-rex picture. Now your posting Britney singing backwards. I like the way you think!!!

What's funny is that poor Britney is from Louisiana too. haha

It's got absolutely NOTHING to do with subconscious subliminal messages and everything to do with imagination and our hard-wired need to find patterns in everything.

WhatUKno did a podcast about it, even.

There's no mystery, there's no message, there's just the way our brains process sounds and look for patterns where there are none.

Ya, I'm not proud of that fact. haha She was great the first year or two. Then she went wacko.

Darkheart did ya get my u2u about your name?

Ok back to the backward messages, I think they are just like graphic video games. Games don't cause people to hurt people. The way people are raised and who they grow up with is how these people turn out bad. People just look for something to blame instead of blaming the real source. Probably the parents. Of course, there will always be that one bad apple that turns out bad no matter what. But for the most part, you can play a graphic video game or listen to songs backwards all you want and be just fine if your a normal human being. I know many people that play the hell out of graphic video games since they could click their finger on the mouse button and they turned out just fine. I think it's the same with backward songs.

I have to admit some backward songs do sound like messages, but I think you can hear what ever you want to hear.

Agreed, we look for patterns, I beleive the words they hear in the backwards songs tell us more about the minds of the people running the website, then the minds of said musicians.

Her songs don't even have messages if you played it normally, let alone in reverse.

I kinda like Brittney. I think she is just a hick from a hick town so im cool with that. Im not sure she put the reverse messages in her song on purpose though. I dont think shes that smart. Maybe someone did it without her knowing.

Cool listening to it though, I did hear her say something. Kinda. Sortive.

Certainly not the entire time. Backmasking is a recording technique that has been employed by many artists.

Backmasking was popularized by The Beatles, who used backward vocals and instrumentation on their 1966 album Revolver. Artists have since used backmasking for artistic, comedic, and satiric effect, on both analog and digital recordings. The technique has also been used to censor words or phrases for "clean" releases of songs.

A recent example that sticks in the mind would be the track My Name Is, by Eminem. When played backwards, you can clearly make out the words "it's Eminem". You can download this and other examples here, and you can find a list of many more examples here.

Pink Floyd did this on one of their songs intentionally... Sorry cant remember but it goes something like this..

:You are the winner to bla bla mental institution or something of that nature.

And Weird Al I think did a prank song for backwards listening people also..

Saying something like..

This is the devil bla bla bla...

:: Bla Bla mean I have no clue what was said::

Britney Spears is probably not the only celebrity to send a satanic message. Apparently actor Adam Sandler a self proclaimed Jewish facist claims "I knew then that the Christian Church thrives on hypocrisy, and that man's carnal nature will out!" and he also stated "Since worship of fleshly things produces pleasure," he said, "there would then be a temple of glorious indulgence . . ." He is basically trying to get jews to convert to Satanism.

A friend showed me a couple a few years back. I was a skeptic, but when I heard how clear, it was quite amazing. I didn't get to listen to that link, I will later ...

Queen I think I recall as - Everyone smoke marijuana

the second song scared the crap out of me.

Aerosmith had something to do with worship s@tan ... It was so clear and commanding, I will not listen to them to this day. It was a popular song, if I heard it I would remember ... but I don't want to remember.

Wish I had the songs titles for you all ... but this kid I did find out was really into the dark side of life. I thought it was just his style

Boy, I was gettin' worried there, I swore that was a gem but it got zero for a few days. Bombing on a message board can be almost as bad as bombing in person, which is why I only toss em out if I think it's funny.

However, just because I joke about something doesn't mean I've written it off. I believe that there may be plenty of intentional reverse messages in music. When I first got some basic production software I played with reverse speech and making sentences that say other things when played backwards. It only took about 30 minutes before I had some fun ones. I never implemented in my music because I don't think it really serves an artistic purpose for me. Although Queen (and the Beatles for that matter) didn't have access to simple digital "reverse file" commands, reversing tapes and playing around in a studio shouldn't be too much trouble to discourage a mischivious musician.

Now as for reverse speech actually occuring subconsciously, I don't know. I've looked into in a little bit, but without doing some serious research I couldn't make any conclusions.
Perhaps it's possible to find many messages in reverse speech if you're looking hard enough for them. Wouldn't it depend on a myriad of factors, like where sentences are supposed to begin and end within the reversed message in question? Wouldn't people with different motives find different things depending on those motives?
Couldn't a liberal find an assortment of, "I'm a stupid man going to war for oil," in dubya's speeches, while at the same time a conservative would find nothing but, "I'm just an honest, folksy guy, and people like me?"

Couldn't a conspiracist find an assortment of, "Aliens are real, we've captured them," when offical's are questioned about them?

Couldn't a truther find a, "well demolished the towers,"

Couldn't I find an assortment of, "I really want to sleep with you," messages if I recorded flirtatious conversations I have with the attractive barristas at Starbucks? Of course, this would be one of the few messages that all people could agree upon.

Still though, I'll trust free coffee over reverse speech until some double blind, peer reviewed study is done.
