Now do the MSDWC writers know that the winner will be recieving an additional cash bonus of 1,ooo?

That would probably boost the number of participants in the competition...

Well, personally I'll be pleased if I get the "Writer" title.

So... what's that designation under your username?

You get the status for successfully entering the contest, winning just gets you a few points.

Sorry to have to tell you, but Harleyquill Romances pulled the plug on the deal we thought we had.

I feel so bad to have let you all down.

The "writer" title wasn't there before my most recent post. I think. Thanks masqua.

That just leaves the "fighter" title to complete the set...

Oi Mates,

In the very remote chance that I place at all, if I don't respond to the announcement in a timely fashion, it's not out of ingratitude. They are inducing my wife today in a couple of hours, and I may be AFK for a few days. Anyway, I want to wish everyone here good luck, and a big huge thank you for sharing your work with everyone. May the best writers win!

Peace out!

I wish all the best for your wife and yourself in this happy moment.

As far as the judging is concerned, I would estimate an announcement somewhere around Monday evening. My wife and myself are off to Toronto for the long holiday weekend (it works opposite for country-dwellers) and it gives the judges time to carefully consider their choices.

So... let us know if it's a boy or a girl.

Oh, it's a boy, we found that out months ago.

Makes preparing for him that much easier, even if it breaks the mystery.

Have a great time in Toronto. I've never been there, but heard a lot about the place, and it's supposed to be like Canada's own "Little Slice of Heavenly Paradise".

Oh, it is a paradise... especially Queen Street West which is close to downtown with a lot of really old buildings, edgy little shops and art galleries. I love it... especially a place called Conspiracy Culture which is owned by one of our fine members. (little plug for FattyP
)

I'm going to bring my camera and take some pics of the place.

Congratulations! If this is your first, prepare for a total (but wonderful) change in your life.

[My wife was induced and things moved rather slowly for the first 12 hours or so, and then happened rather quickly. This information may be a bit off topic for this thread...]

By the way, many hospitals in the UK now have internet access available at the patient's bedside for a fairly reasonable cost. NB Using this may prove dangerous to your health if your partner spots you!

All the best,

Isaac

How exciting Libra! I couldn't be happier for you!

Just a word of warning, (if this is your first), pay close attention, because time will begin to fly faster than you ever imagined. My little girl will be 1 year old in a month, and it seems like I was in your shoes just yesterday!

Congratulations again!

Little update on the contest;

I'm waiting for the judges to U2U me with their choices (some have already been sent), but since it is a holiday weekend, the results most likely be complete until sometime in the middle of the week.

Great entries, so the choosing won't be easy either.
