what does the arc of the covenant do?

You all have been watching too many movies and/or television. The Ark contained the 2 stones that God wrote the 10 commandments on, Aarons rod etc. It had nothing to do with "electricity". That was just in the movie, not in the Bible.

Also, perhaps if the Atheists would read the Bible they would get to understand who and what God really is. It is arguing against the Book without having read it!

from what i've been reading, its either to hold stones with the 10 commandments on it, or it has somthing to do with monotomic gold
obviously something important was held inside it...
