What does God look like exactly?
Does God even have something to look at all?
Is God invisible or visible?

I will accept any and all answers.

Well, assuming a hypothetical deity existed..

If we go by Christianity, god would be a multiracial hermaphrodite, since humanity is
supposed to be created in its image.

Or if you go by Hinduism, there are many different gods that are all different aspects
of the one single god, so it would be many different gods but at the same time all
of them as one.

If you go by Buddhism, well actually Buddhism is an Atheistic religion with no god,
but the equivalent would be Buddha's (Buddha is a title not a name) would either be energy
beings or would look like the various people who have achieved enlightenment and Nirvana.

Well, according to the bible (or at least thats what I heard), god made man in his image, so think about that one, god would look something like an ordinary man.

God is faith. If you need proof, you don't have faith. If you need proof before you have faith, then you're screwed.

Peace

hm multiracial hermaphrodite, that is a good answer that i didnt think of, i'm going to have to ponder that.

perhaps God is invisible, has anyone ever said that they have seen God.
because i have heard claims that some people have said that they 'died' floated, tunnel, white light, yada yada yada, but did any of those people actually say they saw God? hm i wonder, not that it even matters really.

So then what exactly would the 'opposite' of god, hence the devil, looks like?

Also, if god is made in man's image, would god be fully naked?

Satan, according to classical Christianity is an incredibly handsome, muscled angel with brown
curly hair, angel wings, a sword and roman armour.

Of course if you go by Dante's interpretation, the Devil is a giant blue monster with bad teeth.

And I would assume that the Christian god would probably be nude.

According to Christian apologists that I've argued with incessantly here, god is outside the physical realm. So he doesn't have a physical form.

Of course, there is no god and no devil. So to me, they look like the inside of people's brains, because that's where they originate, and where they stay.

God the spirit. Lol I never believe that at all. Not only does the bible say we are made in his image, which means he has a body.

Revelations chapter 4-5

God sits on a throne ( you cannot sit on s throne without a body) holding the scroll of seven seals in his right hand. ( it says holding the scholl of seven seals IN HIS RIGHT HAND) You cant hold a scroll if you dont have a hand. Plus it says that he has a hand.

As God is all power, God can be whatever he wants to be. If he want a Physical form, who are we to say he does'nt. HE'S ALL POWERFUL.

Do geese see God?

Exodus 33:20, "But He [God] said, ‘You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!

My personal belief is that God is pure energy

Hypothetically, if I believed in god, I would say that when it was written that we are made in god's image, that meant we were made to be creators, like he/she/it was. We create stuff. God created stuff.

The way I used to look at it when I was transitioning out of belief and into unbelief is much like dbates said. Many faiths all over the world say that god is in everything, and god is everything. To me that meant that the energy web of the universe was god. Being part of the energy web we were both god and inside of god. Our intelligence was god's sentience, otherwise god was nothing but quantum mechanics. So I used to believe in god the way people say Einstein did, but what was really going on was that I was using the word god to substitute for terms denoting natural laws.

Then I realized that I didn't like the word god because of its connotations and moved into atheism.

Hes invisible.

the rest we dont know until death.

Just think about how God made beauty. When us men see a women of amazing beauty we are breathless sometimes, a minor creation of God.

You could not imagine Gods beauty, which the bible says that whoever sees him shall die, hes so beautiful.

He created beauty, and we just cant imagine.

peace.

Forget everything you have ever been told and everything you know period, thats god.
When we get to that level we wont have 5 senses as tools for interacting it will just be pure energy, we will be as one. And if there is a God(which I believe there is)he is nothing but energy we cant understand with our puny human cave brains.

Maybe this god character has shape-shifting abilities.

shape shifting?

Have you seen to much movies

Hes everywhere, and sees everything. I know that for a fact things I have seen in my life that are so amazing that it leaves me breathless.

Like saint Gemma who had so much faith that she talked to her gaurdian angel daily almost, she had stigmata as well and was a victim.

Faith was no longer faith but evidence to her.

peace.

My beliefs are similar to yours MM. To me God is life, but not in the sense that my life is devoted to Him/Her/It/Them. I believe that life itself is actually what Christians would call God, but what I call energy. However I would say our ignorance is God's sentience. Early man saw something absolutely beautiful in nature and believed nothing so absolutely perfect could be a random act. Therefore someone had to have made it. And hence God.

Forgive for I know some of you dont believe in god or the bible.

But revelations says that god has a body for he sits on a throne and that he has a hand for it says he holds the scroll of seven seals in his right hand. If we are made in his image, he would have a body.

Oh av, why are you thinking about God making people in his literal image?
If you read the Bible and treat it word for word as a literal text, you will find yourself in doubt and confusion. Look, God has to relate to an agrarian population who are exploring their environment in concrete ways. They are not abstract thinkers. So, God gives them images wih which they are familiar - thrones, hands, leg etc...

I look to look to bibilical references as allegory, simile and metaphors. If we are made in god's image at all, we can to a relative extent reflect His attributes. We can be kind but He is absoutely kind to all the world.

Yes I know that people will point out to children affected with AIDS etc... as the opposite example but we can think of God as setting all the Laws of the world before the start of the Universe then putting things into play with a Big Bang. Matter cannnot create matter - it just reshapes it. God is not made of atoms.

Look into Astral Projection, Its not fake or anything Ive done completly possible. It is incredible but anyway on to God.

Does it really matter...you're on Earth right now and will not see Him, most likely, or you could but if you do then there are a ton of those stories in the bible.

But just chill and wait till you die and then go up and meet. But my description would be that it is like a white light so warm and cozy that you don't want to move or even come back to here. You also meet family and friends and all that stuff. Read this guys story he AP and he went very high on the planes and saw his dead son in heaven o something like it.

Alternativly you could commit suicide, and forget the waiting process, siriously christians go on about seeing god but they wont put there money where there mouth is and die to prove they had real faith that they would go on existing with their mountain god....their evil mountain god.....
