Moller International has just begun production of a hover-car for civillian use. It can hover up to 10 feet high and can go 50 mph. It is classified
as a recreation vehicle so anybody can drive one, and since it hovers only up to 10 feet, is not subject to FAA regulations.
The video shows the vehicle going up and down while tethered to a crane for safety I would guess, you can see slack in the tether line, so it isn't
lifting it. They also didn't show the vehicle going 50 mph, I'd like to see how well it handles at that speed.
And for a mere 90,000.00 dollars I may have to crack open the piggy bank and get one for everyone one my Christmas list. *cough* That's a lot of bus
fare.
Seriously cool invention but waaaay out of my price range.
