I found this the other day by looking through Livejournal.
Live Journal Page

Its basically a lady thats lost her sister and is posting cryptic stuff the sister has sent her.
My opinion is its another in a long line of Viral Marketing thats becoming as old as Gobots. I dont mean "Cy-kill" gobots but "Scooter" gobots. But I'm not totally satisfied. So I play the game.

For one thing shes not very forthcoming with information. She seems to be intentionally giving little bits of "ooh, how mysterious" nuggets of info. But still, I cant help it, I love puzzles.

Heres the letter that her "sister" sent that started it off.

I'm working on this part now, decoding this:

652D6D61696C0077316E6368337374337235407961686F6F2E636F6D00 652D6D61696C0077316E6368337374337235407961686F6F2E636F6D00 652D6D61696C0077316E6368337374337235407961686F6F2E636F6D00 652D6D61696C0077316E6368337374337235407961686F6F2E636F6D00

Anyway, penny for your thoughts and wondering if anyone buys it.
Its like School for Viral marketing maybe.
Actually that sounds true. Maybe a marketing school has a class on Guerilla Marketing, and do this one week. Do a project where you try to drum up excitement for a video game, a movie, a product, etc.
First thought.

Umm well I think this is total bunk. She mentions the name Dean Winchester
which just so happens to be the name of one of the leading characters for
a show called Supernatural. That wasn't much of a puzzle if you ask me.
Hope that helps though.

P.S. Good call on the viral marketing aspect.

Thanks !

I think she says its not him, after I questioned her about Dean winchester, and added his wiki and a google on him.

And yeah, I think it Bunk too, thought what I cant figure out is why?
Maybe the Chad drone will lead to "BE SURE TO DRINK YOUR OVALTINE" kinda thing eventually, but this isnt going in the same direction. Maybe its just a puzzle solver ?
I dunno, but I admit, I bookmarked it, and am still trying to break that code.
