In this video, scientists have developed a great technology that lets you 'control' objects, via electric interface, based on your levels of concentration and emotion. It is interfaced with the brain, analyzing pre-recorded responses and translating them to the electronic interface, essentially making a person a telepath that can control objects with thoughts.

I think that's great already for our common-day technological needs these days.

If we're getting this now, i can't wait for the next 3 to 5 years ;D and i'm not speaking about technology improvements only!

There do seem to be various companies working on thought-control technology/interfaces,
it is interesting to see.

Oh, and by the way, it's not Telepathy, Telepathy is communicating via thoughts,
this would be closer to Cyberkinesis, the controlling of digital and electronic devices
using ones mind.

I agree with with IK. This would not be telepathy. I guess you could call it telekenisis if you want to use familiar terms. However, it's not the physical you are controlling so... 'electronic telekenisis'

I am quite impressed.

The true test is if it comes to the market... or that some major manufactorer picks it up and integrates it in a major product.

It seems simple and straight forward, plus they claim it isn't that expensive to develop. The potential is high.

Whoops, my bad about the telepathy typo! i was in a rush reading and didn't even crossed my mind at the time, but you're right, i just sayed without thinking first hehehe

but it's a fantastic lil toy! imagine using that as your keyboard\mouse and doing things many times more faster!

i as an musician would be thrilled to use ableton live with that! of course i think i would need like 4 mouse pointers on screen to use it the way i'm imagining now

hmmm this has some very important ramifications which could be realised.

Firstly, can this be keyed to not operate on ALL machines?

Can you focus on 2 identical machines and not have them both attempt to follow your command?

With extended use would it be hard to learn a level of control over robotics likened to be dextrous like fingers and other limbs?

can the signal be blocked from a distance?

I have many ideas, i will have to ponder a little more.

It would only work on machines that have the appropriate soft/hardware to use it.
As for multiple machines following a single command, I'd assume they have it set where
you can tune it to certain RF channels, much like how wireless Video game controllers work.

That's a good question, I'd assume that it would be relatively easy if they had specific kinds
for robots that picked up on your brains natural signals.
For instance when you go to move your hand, the device picks up on it and moves a
robotic version of the limb.

Imagine the power...

walking into your room, while around you the windows open, the electric blanket turns on, the TV swtiches on. You sit down while flicking through channels, wondering what to watch.

The workplace, people sitting writing things on the computer without a keyboard or mouse, controlling it with their thoughts.

Its beautiful, i want it.

Oh man, one more step away from getting up and changing the channel yourself.

My ekenesis isn't working...
So use the remote...
But... I'm too lazy.

Wonderful...

People who cant even take care of their own body with at least some exercise should not have access to this kind of power.

Thanks to this idea though, I've needed to revise a lot of my world domination plans. Its very very good, very interesting, its given me a personal alarm system, should eliminate the need for most kinds of surveillance in the conventional sense.

Also, It would make everything look much cleaner and tidier without needing massive amounts of buttons and levers.

mmm need to get back to the drawing board, i think.

NeuroSky Technology Makes You A 'Telepath' with Brain Tech

Now now, these people got it wrong too. Not your fault.

well you can see it from both ways really.

You can see it as Telekinesis, controlling movements, or you could see the machine as something with thought. So you are influencing its 'thoughts'

either way, Cyberkinesis sounds damn cool

Manipulation of 1's and 0's in a computers binary code is called Retrokinesis. Dont ask me why just check out their online experiment.
