Virishna - Someone please help me

I have come across several posters who have mentioned a supposed parallel to Jesus in this figure called Virishna. However a quick google search led me to nothing but a bunch of sites that argue either side of the debate as to whether this fugure was the inspiration for Jesus or not.

I have yet to come across a page that gives the Virishna story in detail. In fact, from what i gather, this figure was first mentioned by David Icke.

Now, having never heard of this figure earlier, i was wondering if someone could provide me with links etc that detail the legend of Virishna, cause i am quite interested in reading about this character

I think it's a made-up being. It sounds like a kit-bashing of Vishnu and Krishna.

I did, however, search scholarly records, and there isn't any mention of Virishna, either. So... for something that's supposed to be 1200 years older than Jesus, there's no temple records, no artifacts, no mention in any language, no appearance on any deity list, etc, etc.

I'm gonna brand that one a hoax.

(edited to add that apparently David Icke was the first to talk about "Virishna", if the sources I see are correct.)

I really can't find all that much about this Virishna, and what I do find seems to imply that the "deity" is made up. I have to agree with Byrd on this one...

Seems like that to me too. But i would still love to keep this thread going for a lil while longer, just to see is ANYBODY comes up with ANYTHING at all
