Saddam is named an enemy POW by the Pentagon

How would this change his rights and trial?

maybe USA is not ready to give him back just yet.

The Pentagon has declared former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein an enemy prisoner of war, officials said Friday. The declaration could affect how Saddam is treated in captivity and if, or how, he'll be tried. The Pentagon says Saddam has been held and treated under the POW conditions prescribed by the Geneva Conventions since his capture in December

hmmm just heard on news that as he is an enemy pow he cant be tried in Iraq he has to be tried by USA or European war crimes court.

Oh yah and why's that? Is his reason's for killing people all that different from ours. Is killing someone ever really justifiable. You might say in self defense, well in defense of what? WMD's okay then where are they? Or maybe it was to protect us from terrorism? Has Saddam ever attacked the US like Al Qaeda did? You need to remember that what you are hearing over the news, radio, television is all one sided, you hear the "American" version of everything. Do you really know what's going on, do you really know the whole story. No, you don't. You need to think about what you say before you actually say it.

Somehow I get the feeling the ICC is going to show up and really make a mess of things. Too bad he didnt try to resist capture and get killed in the process, it would have saved alot of time and bs. It will just be another media frenzy like the sniper trials, OJ, and MJ.

If the Americans don't call them POW's you whine that they aren't getting enough rights. If the Americans do call them POW's you whine about something else. Enough already.

it SICKENS me to the pit of my stomach that so many people are more pro-saddam than they are pro-bush.

by the way, i hear the british version of everything on the news.... i can make my own mind up about what i believe and what i dont.

anti-war protesters that compare bush to hitler.... that say the only reason for this war is to gain control of oil.... and that say bush is more evil than saddam are an absolute discrace to humanity who clearly live in their own little world of selfishness. SADDAM is a discrace to humanity.
