Hi Folks,

Although I have been familiar with the Electronic Voice Phenomenon for more than 15 years I have never done some decent research into it. I believe it's now time to change that. However, I am interested in two things.
How and where do you record them ?

Has anyone ever recorded some EVP at home while sitting at his PC ? Just recording some seconds with an external microphone and then discovering paranormal activities ?

Something else is on my mind !
What sort of 'proof' is it, if you get unintelligible voices saying something nobody can really understand or if it requires some guesswork ?

Please note that I am not talking about intelligent replies that truly answer or reply to your questions in the EVP.

I am interested in your take.

I tried this with a friend years and years ago. We sat on the couch hugging each other in fear, listening to our recording of white noise, terrified in case we heard something. We didn't thank goodness. I think it's spooky but very interesting. I'm particularly interested in the way the sounds come over i.e. some descriptions I've read are of voices sounding metallic or "tinny". A dead friend spoke to me in a lucid dream and he sounded like he was talking to me through some device. I know it might have been "just a dream" but there were a number of other coincidences that came together at the same time and ended with the message so I'm kind of convinced it was from that person, whatever he became after death.
