Partying Daughter Grounded, Foot Nailed to Floor

PHNOM PENH (Reuters) - A Cambodian mother took drastic measures to stop her party-loving 13-year-old daughter from going at out night -- she nailed her foot to the floor, officials said on Wednesday.
Mao Savoeun, 36, from Kompong Thom province in central Cambodia, told police she was angry with her daughter for going to a party at a local pagoda during last week's Water Festival, the annual knees-up in the war-ravaged southeast Asian nation.

On the girl's return, and after she went to sleep, her mother drove a two-inch nail through the top of her right foot, pinning it to the floorboards.

"We educated her about human rights and she was shedding tears, but this is a crime and we are going to send her to the prosecutor who will decide whether to charge her," local district chief Srey Puthy told Reuters.

Sh*t that sucks to be the kid.

Guess all she could after that was run in circles.

I wonder what would make a parent do something like that.It sounds like it was pre-meditated.I could not imagine doing anything like that to my kids,I don't think most parents could.Its pretty sad when that is the best form of punishment a parent can come up with.

Now if you nail their feet to the floor because they want to run out and party... what punishment happens if the guys engage in sex?

I would guess that they would get a bigger nail though a slightly different area. Ouch!

Dang, that had to suck majorly. What if caught giving handjobs at a party? Or bjs, nail her mouth shut? Ouch, good thing is never have to tell her to shut her mouth. But still, a nail through the foot? Ouch!
