A vague title for a vague experience, sorry.
I'm not even sure if this is related to ufo/alien. If the mods find a better category to move it, that'll be fine.

Anyway I'll tell you my story.

The actual date I can't recall, but it would have been
between 94-97
Our family was living in the 11th floor of a 15 story high apartment.
It was constructed on a hill, which made it really high giving the best view in the whole place. (My room had a balcony)

One night lying in my bed I was almost asleep.
Suddenlly I thought somebody turned the lights on, it was so bright.
While I sensed a bright light, I can't remember if I ever opened my eyes.

Somehow I was scared to death. I thought of running out of my room.
But hell I couldn't even lift my eyelids.. I was that scared.
I was so scared of whatever there was, that I couldn't open my eyes.
So there I was lying stiff in my bed shuting my eyelids with all my might.

I was just praying and praying, and somehow hoping that morning would come. I was totally in panic.

I also heared some strange sounds. which sounded like..
[ex)You know in some adventure movies there are these passages, which the protagonist uses to infiltrate. And sometimes there is a giant air fan blocking the way]
Yeah this sound was similar to a giant air fan moving slow.
Both the light and sound seemed to be comming from the balcony.

I don't know how long it took. But eventually I fell asleep.

I woke up and.. I was happy. I was just happy it was over. I forgot about it. Never talked to anybody about it.
I still question myself if this was a bad dream. But it was different from a dream.

While sensing a bright light, hearing strange sounds was all,
It puzzles me why I was so scared.

Just a wild guess here, but could it have possibly been a slow moving helicopter with a search light???? That could possibly explain the bright light and the thumping sound like an air conditioner fan.

Just a guess though remember.

Oh and hi to everyone here. New member, but I've been coming to this site for about 6 or so years. So yeah, hi there everyone.

Hi, and thanks for the reply

yes it was similar to a helicopter sound. But much more silent and smooth?
The sound&light stayed at the balcony till I fell asleep.(For how long I don't know)

And One thing I can assure you. No helicopters fly ever around there. I lived there for 9 years. Never seen one. Plus it was a suburb area. with mostly farms around. Pretty quiet at night time with the exception of frogs.

Hi J, I could move my body. But I was clenching to my sheets and not trying to move at all. Due to a sudden fear as I stated earlier.

I also had sleep paralysis. where I couldn't move. But I felt this was way too real.
Anyway it's pretty possible that it was just a sleep paralysis. And I'd be happy if it was nothing weird.

Been there got the T-shirt.
I too was staying somewhere where I shouldn't
have been, but Mrs. Holmes was well fit.
I too kept my eyes closed and clenched the sheets
as Mr. Holmes arrived back from the Foundry.

It is like sleep paralysis, you daren't move and you
wonder where your jeans are.
The thing about the frogs... are there many French
where you live?

Also, the slow beating of possible blades, you don't
think it was a slowed-down recording of a dog barking
do you?
