It would be cool if somehow we can get that same shot in day light.

I just think it would be too tough to know exactly where that spot *WAS*.

Well, I just want to say thanks for all the replys and interest. I still don't know what graveyard it was, if you have ever been there, you know there are tons of them. I will have to go back to the tour guide ( there are hunderds of them too ) and figure it out from there.

I do still feel that this is a picture in the paranormal realm. Especially cause I remember how I felt when I took that pic, which wasn't good!

Very interesting picture. My personal belief in this being a ghost is deterred by the fact that the object's arms are disproportional to its torso, head, and body. Almost looks like a hangman's noose running up towards the tree. Almost wanna call it a photoshop job if I didnt trust you. But I do.

Thanks! I have no reason to lie and nothing to gain by it. I am just fascinated by the paranormal.

I did some comparison work on photoshop trying to isolate various parts of the image. Here is what i came up with.

I dont believe that it is a tombstone. It is not symmetrical enough. I am not sure what it is but with all of the stuff i did to the image I did not see any variation with pixels so I can rule out tampering. My only thought is there may have been some lens memory from another photo.

Did you take any photos of women directly before or after?

All of the pics before and after this one were also of the graveyard seconds apart. Several pics before was the Old Fort there, and several after was a pic of my husband and I. Thats it.

I did some photoshop maneuvering and ended up with what looks like a full skeleton, with arms crossed in burial position. Hope I don't creep you out too much Jen!

Edit: Now that I think about it this doesn't really look like the burial position, but rather someones arms tied behind their back when murdered by hanging. Just something to think about.

What's with that big "X" in the lower portion of the object? "Discover the significance of that peculiar artefact," remarked Sherlock Holmes, "and you'll have your answers."

Curiously, here is a daylight stock photo of a prominent headstone in that very same Huguenot Cemetery in St. Augustine, Florida.

It's a very interesting picture to say the least. I've seen many supposed ghost pictures before but this one has to be one of the best I've seen in a while. Someone replied that it looked like someone being hanged. Well the apparition was next to a very big tree so maybe that's a clue. Did anyone do a background check to see if someone may have died there from hanging? Could be a place to start.

yup, I'm on it........as soon as I find something, IF I find something, I will post it asap! It would be incredible if I could find something about a hanging there.

On the other hand, what we have on the left is the headstone of Henry S. Frey, longtime resident of the Huguenot Cemetery in St. Augustine, compared to our friendly ghost.

Although the ghost photo is pretty bad, what with the close match in dimensions, and the telltale white markings down the middle and at the shoulders, I think that what we're probably looking at is opposite sides of the same stone.

After looking at the larger pic it looks like to me its just a tombstone, it has the same kinda texture to the one next to it under the tree, but the zoomed in pic does look like something but that might be because its a little distorted but thats just my thoughts, it could be a ghost, the only real way to tell is to take a pic the same in the day time and compare them to see if there is a tombstone there well thats my 5 cents worth

Hmmm after looking at the picture I think you maybe right. I looks like the opposite side of the tombstone. The dimensions look pretty much the same.

Well, I think I found more to add to SV's post.

Thanks to the folks at Psychosylum.net, I found some nice pictures of that very cemetery...at night no less.

Look at the headstone just to the right of center:

See it again below the light in this picture:

You can barely see it, mostly out of frame one the left.

Cool looking graveyard in that pic, but as far as anything paranormal it seems that has been pretty well debunked.

Hello, I would just like to say that I find your photo fascinating & I am a life-long native of St. Aug., so I'm quite aware of the paranormal goings on in this quaint lil' town! I am going to try to post a photo that I took, while spirit dowsing, right off of St. George St. I had the same feeling, near an abandoned house & although I could see nothing, the pendulum would go crazy, each time I would look at a certain dark window! So, I took a few pics. of what I assumed would be nothing-but one in particular stuck out. After getting home & downloading it, I lightened it up a bit, as I could tell something was there. Imagine my amazement when this "little boy angel or demon" appeared. As you said, feel free to debunk it, anyone...Thanks, John
