June 5, 2007 -- MOSUL, Iraq - Gunmen murdered a Catholic priest and three assistants in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, leading Pope Benedict yesterday to condemn the "senseless killing."

A horrible occurrence indeed, but my concern is the linkage to Al-Qaeda. Why is it that every horrific act must be linked to Al-Qaeda? Perhaps the murderers just didn't like Catholicism, doesn't mean they killed them because they were members of Al-Qaeda. Using Al-Qaeda as a scapegoat is getting old. But my condolences go out the the unfortunate victims.
