Not sure if it's been posted, but it was an interesting video. Not sure what I think about it since I'm no photo expert. Anyone care to shed some light on it?

Erm...This video is from the "Billy Meier Hoax", keyword there, HOAX.
Everything there has been proven fake. See here for one diligent researcher FOUND the terydactyl or whatever bird picture in a school textbook!

Here's the link:
spacetimenews.com...

Space Time News has found definitive proof that one of the photos is that of a dinosaur painting. The painting of a Pteranodon dinosaur is an exact match of Meier's photo. No doubt the other photo is of another painting as well. Meier is not a time-traveler, but he does have a creative imagination.

Case closed: This story has been proven to be a hoax.

Controversially... could the painter in question have painted the it using Meier's photograph as a template?

Don't shoot me, just speculating. What year was the painting painted? And what year did Meier's photo surface?

Good question, I found a website awhile back that had a photo of the actual page in the book that had the painting in it (probably what billy read to influence his claims), but cannot for the life of me find it again. If you find it or more info please post it...

This will have to do for now I guess, its from the author of the website that broke the dinosaur-painting hoax to light, razimus.com (now spacetimenews.com), here: www.abovetopsecret.com...

EDIT: I believe the author of the book is "Zdenek Burian", google him, he's on amazon, wiki, etc, lots of dinosaur books from him...

EDITx2: The above razimus author says the book is from 1977, but appears it may be even earlier, which seems to make more sense, looking at the work of the author Zdenek Burian...Here is more info on that...

You've probably seen it by now, but the "photo" is just a part of the larger painting, the top right quadrant, I think. It might not even be a fourth of the painting. So if the painting came after the photo you'd have to believe that the painter took this one pterodactyl from the 'picture' and extrapolated to the rest of the detailed painting. That, I think, would be a stretch.

No, you don't get shot for asking a question, least not for that one.

Yes quite a stretch it would be... It's quite a length to go to to discredit someone. The Meier case is like a net - full of holes.

(Don't you just love sentences were two words follow each other)

Ok, found that site, and mor info on the book:

The book is entitled:

Life Before Man (Paperback)
by Z. V. Spinar (Author), Zdenek Burian (Illustrator)

Spinar, Z. V., and Burian, Z., 1972, Life Before Man: New York, American Heritage Press.

www.amazon.com...

So the copyright is 1972 (1971) and is also found here on this site:
www.spacetimenews.com...

So this image is a HOAX it can be ruled fairly definitively. Found the painting, painting featured in a book, book published before Billy Meier's supposed UFO tour of the solar and time travel.
