if you haven't seen it yet, Richard Hoagland's website enterprisemission has claims that some of the rocks shown in the images that Spirit has sent back are actually metal cased objects.

He will be on Coast to Coast Am with George Noory to discuss his findings tonight.

check it out, what do you think?

www.enterprisemission.com...

actually I didn't find the ones he selected to be that convincing of anything. Some of the other pictures highlighted in other threads seems to have more possibilities.

show us a little proof springer. otherwise keep your mouth shut. theres a little thing called slander.

but anyway ontopic wise, this would explain why spirit is having 'mechanical difficulties' for a week or so.

metal in cased objects just laying all over the place on Mars? anything to get him some attention I guess...

well you do have to admit a few of those pictures do look very strange for naturally formed rocks, especially this one

its a foriegn planet which is different that Earth in many ways (I'm assuming this because there is no life on Mars, that we know of)... its just a whole new different place than Earth, which can probably explain why we see different stuff.

no dice.
erosion is erosion, whatever planet you are on. dust erodes things in similar ways no matter what planet you are on, and to say that in the middle of a desert with no way of having fallen or been broken off of another object that one would appear smooth and conical at one end, yet with distinct geometric shapes at another just doesnt add up. 2+2=0 now?

solar wind and sand erosion?
Also an unknown is the composite make-up and metal content % of those rocks in question. I think its apparent that this is not a "phenomena" to NASA being that they have been to Mars before and most likely encountered these type rocks before....maybe? I dunno.
Just popping questions really.

well dude the only thing thats true, is that you don't know for sure, and I don't know for sure what it is, we just have 2 different opinions on the matter is all. 2+2 still ='s 4 no matter how u look at it...

Some of those rocks do look strange, but I really can't stand Hoagland because everytime he finds something strange it's ALWAYS machinery or something intelligently crafted. He's just a sensationalist and does not care one iota for the truth.

who makes a discovery does NOT change what has been discovered. sadly, i highly doubt nasa is going to give us even a shred of a #ing bone on this issue one-a-#ing-gain. who paid for this bastard to get to mars anyway, huh?

Hoagland isn't hoaxing anything. He's bringing things to the public's attention that may otherwise have never been brought up. I think the pyramid stuff on Mars he's brought to public attention is really intriguing. I do imagine he's wrong on many things though. There is also nothing wrong with making a buck off of observations.

As for this current controversy he's making, I don't see anything into it at the moment.

the guy just made a big mistake there however. he just said that those creases left by the deflated airbag dragging over the ground werent caused by the airbags, but were part of the ground itself. BULL#. get the hell out of here, the bags fold on themselves like a deflated hot air balloon, which was basically what they were, just filled with regular air. those bags, when inflated might not have had any distinct shapes in them. but DEFLATED they will have that distinct creased shape that we see in the dirt.

from what i understand, we can email this man in hopes he can prompt nasa at their next press conference to give us the truth. send him an email, send two! we need to know!

hey, that stuff isn't the deflated airbags in the picture you see (that's the landscape) and since when does dirt or dust have creases??? (unless it's molten lava)

The airbags cannot leave creases in the dirt after being deflated. You should see drag marks not creases.

He later said something about being a fossilized eel-like creature......or was it Noory who said that.

said he will be on tomorrow again right? anyway I downloaded the pic and will take a closer look tomorrow at it....maybe I will find something...oooh

actually I am pretty sure I can find something, it's all about perception!

Do you guys really think that if NASA thought that these photos were anything but rock, that they would release them?

Just a little image editing and you can make a metal look like a rock
