i don't understand how they show up and make it safe. did they check their islamic extremist bomb schematics from their islamic extremist bomb manuals? Or did they throw a glass of water on it?

PS on BBC news TV now The car was discovered in the haymarket area of London at around 2am today it was a "big"device and was destroyed by controlled explosion last night at around 3-4 am.

The Emergency services in london are now on there second highest level of alert.

eye witness accounts state "a silver mercedes and gasbottles of some sort were seen being removed from the vehicle"

Hopefully theyll catch the scum who left this massive bomb , it was packed with nails so a lot of lives have been saved this morning.

Very well said Elf. Thats a keen observation. It does seem a bit obvious that somebody is testing somebody. Why else would this occur on day one of the new man's term? Just too coincidental if you ask me.

I wonder what kind of political spin we are going to get off this one... we should be able to draw conclusions by gauging the response from different political groups.

Credit to Jack Straw (slap my face!), he's saying its up to the police and security services to give press announcements about this incident and not for ministers of government to speculate.

Ok, so the conspiracy thing is starting to float into this one...

so lets get this out of the way...

Who had the Means & Motive? Who would stand to benefit from this incident? Is this the result of a choreographed political/psy-op event, or an actual terror attack?

So the guy 'crashed his car bomb' to position it and then ran off...

whaaaaat?

it's like a terror attack but cheaper and no wetware required right?

Like the tanks at Heathrow, scary but nothing actually happened.

And the heathrow liquid explosive plot that seemed to die a death.

I take it something big is going down elsewhere in the world as the news will be full of this FNORD and nothing else.
