If you could pick one band to go see live what would it be? The band can be new, old, no longer together, and in any genre (style).

You mean the Beatles tribute band?

Are they really that good?

Think I'd have to go with Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young. Tough question.

I can't pick just one. I refuse.

the Doors
Led Zeppelin
Jimi Hendrix
Johnny Cash

I've seen all the current bands I wanted to see, so I didn't list them.

But when I want to see a band, I go incredibly out of my why to go see them, but I guess because I already have tickets for the white stripes and daft punk, im going to have to go with RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, I had my ticket to coachella, then BAM, I couldnt actually get there, so yeah, its rage that I want to see.

Okay so I have already seen my fav band Def Leppard and Collective Soul and Honeymoon Suite (after waiting 20 years!) and Feral Rage was with me for all three concerts.Ya people I take my kids with me to concerts. So i guess really the only band I would like to see live right now is Nickelback.

Since I named only one in my first post, I claim rights to amend. And stuff.

Anyway, CSN&Y would probably be my first choice, but the ability to see the Tommy Dorsey Band when Sinatra was the singer would be a difficult opportunity to turn down.

Do some research on Tommy Dorsey, and the all-time legends who have played in his band. Unbelievably awesome and a veritable Who's Who in music.

whats wrong with you people none of you want to see O Town or Insync!?! Freaks!

Personally I've always been blown away by watching any gig Victor Wooten is playing. But if i could i'd see Jaco Pastorius play. don't care if it's a weather report gig or just some of his solo stuff. too bad he's dead because he was really really facinating. made most 70's rock icons strange lives seem normal. nothing like a schitzophrenic musical genius and their trial and tribulations through life. this dude was seriously wild.

Gotta be Led Zeppelin.

Would like to also see Emerson Lake and Palmer, Yes and Gentle Giant.

A few guys and I were having this same chat at work the other day. I posed the question that we name three.

My first choice is, and always will be, The Beatles. To see them live in concert would be something that words could not even describe. From there, I went with AC/DC. And my third choice was The Who. I know there was another band that I had thought of, and I replaced them with The Who in the third spot, but it is escaping me at the moment so I'll have to keep thinking and get back to you.

But yeah, The Beatles are number one without a doubt.

I think it was the Who who did a concert right after their bassist died at the hollywood bowl right? like last year sometime. A friend of mine was such a fan that he parked in one of the neighborhoods off of mulholland then scaled/ hiked down the side of the mountain and infiltrated the hollywood bowl from it's back side and snuck into the show...it worked, although security did catch a few people trying to get in this way to the concert but who could blame them the show was sold out....and it's the WHO!!!!
