The photos look real to me and the object looks V shaped and metallic. I wonder what it is....

wow, nice find! the last picture indicates that it has to be golden metallic because it obviously reflects the sun with a red-orange light on the side. the only thing i don't know for sure... is this really reflection or could it be also the 'glowing' of the object itself? what do you think? anyway - nice footage! => flag

It's a compelling pic, and I think it is more than likely a miltary craft of some sort.

The witness says: We watched if for some time as it banked back and forth, then all of a sudden it tipped it's nose to about a 45 degree angle and quickly ascended out of sight. It was completely out of sight after about three seconds.

So, either this is a hoax or it is an alien ufo

A remote control can not dissapear in 3 seconds i guess.

They seem confused on the date. Saturday was the 16th. Good attention the details about the sighting.

At this point, it's a UFO in the strictest sense.
We don't know what it is.

Alien controlled ?
Absolutely no way to even speculate that,
given the data we have.

And as far as it zooming off in 3 seconds,
we only have the word of the witness, which
we have to accept at face value, to believe.

I'm not comfortable doing that.

This was the first thing I noticed as well. Probably nothing, but small details are details nonetheless.

I wonder if the object is an R/C controlled model sailplane riding the wind wave from a nearby cliff?

But this sure can't leave earth in 3 secs . Anyway there is no way to know if it really did that.

If one of the military 'V blimps' (from the defencetech link) broke apart it might explain one or more of the cylinder or worm sightings. At 175 feet in length it would be quite visible but hard to determine what it was.

It might also explain a few of the V shaped sightings.

My first inclination is to sit This one out!

I've had enough with "Flying Worm-things" for a while.


But those Are some nice pics of a "something", so let's see if I can limit myself to one question and one observation.


Question: How big was it?


Observation: The sighting took place at San Pasqual HS, which is located in San Diego California.

Located near San Diego, California is the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC), at Twenty-Nine Palms, California.

The "Vee-Airship" refered to in (a) prior posts(s) was designed to, amoung other mission profiles, provide real-time wide-area surveillence of combat zones from a "safe" altitude.

Cool pics. Would have been awesome if somebody got some video to corroborate it's departure speed. It appears to be metallic, and fairly large. Good job by the photographer of getting the trees in there as a foreground gauge.

I actually remember a while back, seeing something like this on Discovery or maybe it was in Popsci. It was some sort of weather ballon, but at that time, the pictures I saw were of a large black v-shaped object. If I manage to locate the pics again I will post them.

Regardless, this is a good find, and given the different positions it is in, I would rule out the ballon theory, but had to play the devils advocate for a sec.

Well, if we are to believe the witness's story, the object sounded like it was moving very quickly. Considering this, I don't think an air ship is going to move that quickly, right? Blimp like ships are slow, right?
