Space Shuttle Re-entry: Live Coverage.

Here’s wishing the Atlantis crew all the best for a smooth landing, glitches notwithstanding! At this stage, we hope that the thermal blanket holds on. I’m particularly interested as Sunitha Williams is an Indian American and Indians are all proud of her.

So was Kalpana Chawla. From India. It was a tragedy of huge proportions when she bravely went down with Columbia.

Way to go Suni. The one billion people of India are with you!

It's slipped a minimum of an hour and a half for Kennedy. They'll try again at 330pm EST. If they can't make it then they'll start looking at an Edwards landing. The weather in Florida is awful today though, so I doubt we'll see them come home today.

Going by weather.com they're gonna be landing at Edwards. They're forecasting thunderstorms at Kennedy through next weekend.

There still is a chance for florida, aint no weather man on earth can predict florida weather.

Looks like its going to be another day in space for the shuttle. May the force be with them.

Indeed it looks that way. The coverage now is back to the ISS and its computers. What happened to the 3:30 attempt for edwards?

The 3:30 attempt was for Kennedy. They're going to do everything the can to get her down at Kennedy, and Edwards is a last resort. They have enough power to stay up until Sunday as it stands now. They have 5 attempts for Kennedy tomorrow, and if it looks like they'd have to extend another 24 hours, then they'll start looking at Edwards.
