Earlier this year my wife and I had several occasions when we were woken up by her computer keyboard typing away!

I originally suggested (since she couldn't wake me up at the time - I sleep like the dead!) that perhaps it was just the keyboard making creaking noises due to fluctuations in temperature, roaches, etc.

Anyway, on the two occasions that she did manage to wake me up in time, sure enough there it was typing away! Certainly, it was dark in the room and I couldn't see what the keys may have been doing but the sound was unmistakeable; it sounded exactly how it did when my wife was using it. When we switched the bedside light on the noise stopped instantly

Now, I'm not about to leave the machine on all night on the off chance that it might be trying to communicate and anyway it stopped a few months back. I'm far more concerned with being asleep

Beyond that the only thing strange thing that has happened since is when I was looking around for a dropped headache pill when the heel of one of my wife's shoes lifted an inch off the ground and then rested back down whilst a sock inside it seemed to squirm around. I picked it up afterwards and checked for pesky critters, but to no avail.

Anyone else had this sort thing happen?

You should definitely leave word open and the computer running all night everynight and see what it has to say.

Sounds like an interesting event,

The fact that you do not seem to fear it is good, Interesting why it woud appear to be typing,

Have you or your wife lost a loved one or a friend over the past years?

Have you lived in this place long?

Sounds like an addition to the family lol, As long as there is not harm then should be quite a plesant experience,

Do you notice any odd smells around when this appears?

I read on a music forum a person saying the same, awoken by his keyboard typing away but only the one time, everyone being a expert gave their theories from rats,mice,cats..or just a dream, his could be "written off" easily as it only happened once..though i have dealt with him for years over the net and almost like i know him i just had to believe him out of trust..well no problem there anymore.

Leave the pc on ..leave it on MS Exel/Word..just maybe
,the shoe on the other hand or foot is weird but then it could have been a "critter" or something explainable ...but why only the heel & the sock was moving as if something inside if i understand correctly??

Keep us updated !

why not? although it can be debated, I'm of thje opinion that leaving your computer on all the time is better than constantly turning it on and off. Computers will live a long time - 99% of them will outlive their use, becoming obsolete decades, or more, before they actually die.

That being said, turning a computer on and off reduces it's life many times more than simply leaving it on all the time. Most electronics, as long as they are properly cooled, will run best when left on.

I had something similar happen to me once. I left the room(was the only one in the house) and came back to see a whole bunch of giberish om the computer. It was a bit freaky...

how do i know the 'ghost' didnt type this thread

but thats pretty creepy...but im going to have to run with the critter theory.
my reason is this..

I stayed at my partner's parents house for a week and one night as i was laying in bed (in the middle of the night mind you) and his bedroom door slid open..
I heard the door slide open (they renovated their house and they have faux wood slidings for the rooms..it saves space)
I turned to look at the door and it was wide open...my heart failed for a second

It happened every night..so on the fourth night i thought yiou need to see what/who is opening the door.
So iheard the door shake a little and i braced myself and sat up in bed and faced the door..it opened slowly....and what do you know..it was my partners cat!
The cat would slide the door open, come in the room, sleep and then leave before we woke up!

That is weird. I would toss the computer and move...Pour red brick powder behind you as you split

maybe its not the smartest thing to do, but how about leaving Word or notepad open with a message like "You need something?" or "who are you?"... maybe it's just someone who needs help

You are surrounded by some sort of energy. I would have to suggest it is physical life in a parallel dimension. Supposedly unable to hurt you but I would keep my wits about me.

Also, they probably ARE trying to tell you something. Keep your ears open.
