Just another way to divert attention. I think they are probably trying to bury the fact that they lost all those emails in the white house that weren't supposed to be written. Plus its been what, a couple weeks since our government saved us all? This is just another fear tactic.

Considering the last two major terrorist attacks in the US thwarted by the FBI, the perps weren't even ARAB. I am not too concerned with Arabs attacking us but Muslims from other backgrounds and races. The next Arab attack most certainly will be allowed as it would give the US more of a reason to bomb the Arab countries and enforce more Patriot Act type laws.

The next big attack will bring forth the National ID card which almost all candidates (except one) are pushing big time. Not only that, but its the RFID and biometric type stuff that scares the living cr*p out of me. I will never allow someone to do that with me or my kids.

I cringe at news reports of suicide bombers blowing up buses over in Israel. I don't want it here in the States and I don't want my kin exposed to such atrocities.

I feel I'm being pushed into a corner to go get a permit to carry a concealed weapon. I can't imagine going to the grocery or the mall with one hand inside my jacket at all times while profiling the enemy. I guess I can, but it would probably be a better situation for all to just make them leave.

Just out of curiosity, what were those? The gasline explosion at JFK and the exploding planes from the UK? Both were considered very unlikely, if not impossible. Without any real credible witnesses.

There was the JFK Airport exploding gas lines and the attempted attack on a US base. I would think these would have a much higher probability of happening than the 911 attacks. I think the US Government wants a big Arab attack to happen but all others involving Arabs they would let happen considering it would expand there cause.

I have not heard of the exploding planes though from the UK, but if the people arrested for that plot weren't Arab I wouldn't be suprised.

I'd be a bit fearful of the US/Mexican border. After all, if its possible to smuggle drugs in large quantities and illegal FIREWORKS across, how hard would a few under garment boom sticks. I'm sure Mexico ain't real hard to get into and there may be a little bit of local anti US sentiment to take advantage of. I have heard that some of the drug cartels have elaborate tunnel systems that actually go under the border checkpoint. Most drug cartels don't like the US government. Mustafa may be harder to spot standing next to Hesues than John. If millions of gringos can enter the US illegaly it stands to reason that millions of suicide bombers could do the same. Give'em a few months and it may be "Excuse me sir but you dropped your breifcase!" BOOOOOOMMMMMM!

The FBI says it learned of the supposed plot when the men went to a Circuit City store and asked a clerk to transfer a jihad training video of themselves onto a DVD. They were arrested after allegedly attempting to purchase weapons from an undercover FBI agent.

Thanks for the links. These links read just like the 911 attackers. They hardly knew how to fly, left such a trail it was easy to identify them, and were a partying group as well as many people remember them in bars partying it up before the attacks. There are a couple of others stories I remember about the 911 attackers that mentioned how inept they were.

The taliban are a figthing force, so this is no different than a ceremony for basic in the rest of world. They are now fighters who have trained and earned a spot t ofight as a true Taliban. This is not propoganda, and I will explain why.

Would the US gain from

a) killing 300 Taliban in one place

or

b) televising a commencement speech?


Now you see, alot of posters will call the killing porpoganda and in another thread call the 'thrat' propoganda, so where is the line?

If the US knew where that was, and had the GPS location, it would have been turned to glass. This tells me that this is real, and these are the men that our soldiers will fignt in Afghanistan and may go to cells around the globe.

I remember watching other videos of the Taliban or any other so called terrorist group training and it is the funniest thing ever. There tactics are almost childish and they don't even hold guns correctly especially a machine gun.

There are videos on Youtube which show the "dangerous" insurgents shooting wildely and ducking behind buildings. It is comical. The way our Government is scaring everyone with propaganda and every one buying into it is criminal.

I know, it's so comical. Those crazy Muslims, they can't possibly do anything to hurt a fly. Silly us for portraying them in such a bad light.

Why do you have such a hard time comprehending that maybe, just maybe, these are fanatical fighters who have received a fair amount of training ( not western military level, but third world level), enough to pull off basic ambushes, bombings, kidnappings, squad level operations and assassinations ect? When was the last time you set off an explosive charge or fired a machine gun? A bullet shot by a poor marksman Taliban in the right spot does as much damage as one fired by a Ranger.

Sure they are bad shots for the most part and don't have body armor, night vision ect, they still are fighters none the less. Fighters that have no qualms about taking out as many civilians as possible with their attacks. I don't remember the Keystone Cops killing innocent civilians or blowing up vehicles. I don't know why you find it funny. If given the chance, they would slit your throat sooner than spare your life.

Quaser - I don't disagree with you as far as whether these plots were conceivable or not, but my question still remains is which is MORE conceivable, 911 or these other terrorist plots happening???

To the poster above- The videos were comical. You said it yourself, Third World Fighters. Thats all that needs to be said. I am saying that it is this Governments best interest if Arabs attack the US. Whats so hard for you to believe the above statement????

Pretty horrible thought process there. Especially when the vast majority of killing done by the suicide bombers, at least in Iraq and Lebanon, is towards their fellow Muslims, predominately by Muslims not even of those countries. You have Sunni Iraqis going after Sunni Al Qaeda foreigners now in Iraq. That should tell you something. Take a look at who exactly is doing the killing of Muslim Civilians. I'm sure God is taking notes of all their actions, just not in the way you envision.

In my opinion, 9/11 was not done by muslim extremists alone. There are only 2 degrees of separation between Al Queda and our own CIA. Our president did business with Mr. Laden, and his father... We'll you've seen him shaking hands with people who are now evil men. If thats not flip flopping, then what is it.
