UK's So You Think You Have Talent's Connie is 6 years old and took my breath away. She has so much talent that it makes you wonder how such a young child can grasp it. Reincarnation of a past singer? You be the judge. All I can say is WOW.

That was about as incredible as anything I've ever seen.

Experience tell us that six-year old kids can't carry a tune in a bucket. I was still expecting the kid could sing, but I wasn't expecting perfect pitch, such purity of tone, flawless phrasing and breath control, not to mention the almost total lack of self-consciousness.

I wouldn't claim rencarnation, but such talent in such a young child is almost miraculous.

Yes. Yes, she will [can].

IMPRESSIVE to say the least.
Outstanding vocals ... regardless of age. (?)

Beautiful. WOW.

like a big girl!!

My little boy is singing along to Barney (freaky purple dinosaur) in the other room, poor lad, I fear he could be tone deaf. And he just asked if he could have custard for lunch. Strange.

I am sorry but I had a good laugh. Alas my own voice has little to be desired. :shk:

That girl is amazing.

I had tears in my eyes.

Truly amazing how she does a perfect vibrato (how her voice trembles). It takes some people years of professional training to master it.
Truly unbelievable that she can do it so well.

I find this little girl truly amazing. Her style of singing so simular to that of Judy Garlin...if reincarnation were possible I would have to say that Connie is Judy hands down. IMO

Judy

Connie

Here is a side by side of Connie and Judy almost the same age.

Connie and Judy

Don't forget to check out this guy. He's no Judy Garland, but he's nothing to sneeze at, either.

Here is Connie singing in the semi-finals. She choose to sing Michael Jacksons' Ben, and holds her own once again.

Here's the deal, yeah it was spectacular, but that little girl has probably been singing that tune for three years before this which is probably the first time she saw The Wizard of Oz, she's got it down pat. The problem will come when Simon makes here sing something else, something that takes a little more breath control and effort. Yeah I know she's only six, but to me she's just mimicking and not really singing like Judy Garland.

That being said, she's extremely cute and innocent and I would hate to see her taken advantage of, but it's inevitable, it's the nature of the beast.

Peace

I don't know anything about how these shows work, because I don't watch them. Certainly, there is something out there that will be outside the capability of this little girl.

However, I would not diminsh her talent. It doesn't matter how long she's rehearsed "Over the Rainbow."

She stands up there and gets the job done in front of millions of people.

Fame in childhood is always fraught with problems, but I would say that at her age she will be able to deal with it all pretty well.

If she is still singing publicly by the time she reaches puberty, then there would be something to worry about and that responsibility would land on the shoulders of her parents.

I think for now she's having fun participating in an amateur contest and as long her parents don't for get that, there's no reason to worry.

My hearing isn't what it used to be, but I think she's a little flat at times and eventually, someone else will win the contest.
