I work in downtown SLC and when I open the blinds this morning I seen this thing, not more then 20 feet away from our 11th story window, I can definately see its a blimp, I got more video and pic's of it on my camera phone, the news here

kutv.com...

www.ksl.com...

says its over 100 feet long, but I was told another one was seen on 2100 S and State Street in Salt lake too. The one I seen was only 15-20 feet long and it was a blimp for sure, it landed on top the building across the street next to the FBI building, it had tiny propellers on it. it finally went down on South Temple and state street, I lost site of it as it dropped behind the questar building. That link has a long video, people say its a UFO, but what I seen was a Blimp. Or maybe a spy blimp, it was headed towards the capital building...

Your thoughts?

The news report: kutv.com...

says the 'UFO' just disappeared.

It does look like it coud be a blimp (but not clear enough) but the news is reporting that nothing was on radar and the FAA in investigating.

There has to be others who saw this and took pictures this morning......

Yeah there was alot of people, it was just a stupid blimp, it was 20 feet from my face, the media is passing disinfo. I personally have pictures of it on my phone and some video, plus that video has like 8 different clips in it. More Government pressed media!

(KUTV) SALT LAKE CITY What’s hovering over Salt Lake City?

Is it a rocket? Is it a blimp? Is it a UFO?

A strange object seen in the skies above in Salt Lake City has residents scratching their heads.

What appears to be a huge air balloon was seen floating above the valley Wednesday morning.

The silver, rocket-shaped craft was sighted about 8 a.m. and floated about for several minutes before disappearing.

Salt Lake Air Traffic Control said they didn’t pick up the object on radar and had no knowledge of the craft.

They will be looking into the sighting to see if any air traffic rules were violated.

I agree it totally looks like a blimp, but I'd expect a radar return from that thing. It also should've been registered to fly over city airspace. Bummer we have no video of it departing the area, the news says it "disappeared"...

I watched it " Depart " it floated down on South Temple and State Street, I couldn't see who took it, because the Questar skyscraper was in the way.

It's a nice design, if nothing else. For anyone who's read John Keel's "Operation Trojan Horse," I expect somebody to jump in and say that it's aliens pretending to be an ordinary blimp.

It was a UFO desguised as a Blimp!

Here is a Youtube video of the guy that supposely owns it in Sugar house

youtube.com...

We were concerned, it looked generic enough, my co worker thought they were spraying downtown with anthrax or another chemical...kinda scary when the mormons get scared.

Hi all,

There seems to be something that was floating around there some years ago.

I was just about to bring up the Trojan scenario:

It is a very odd looking blimp, if that is in fact what it is.
I have spoken to a couple people about this and Dawgjay, you seem to have had a better view than anyone else.

Great post of the pictures Dawgjay!

Thanks Utahbigfoothunter, I'm right downtown on the 11th floor of a skyscraper on 200 S 200 E I had a perfect view of it. It was crazy, kinda had some people rattled!

You know I never thought of this before, but even though it didn't look like a threat, I found more info, where was homeland security, for all we know it could be spraying chemicals all over the valley, here is more info I got;

The UFO hovered 10-15 feet off the ground in front of the FBI building before landing on the roof of the telecom's operations building. Then it cruised slowly over the Federal office building on it's way to the Questar gas offices. The Salt Lake Air Traffic control tower said they didn’t pick up the object on radar and had no knowledge of the craft. According to KUTV news, it "appeared to be 100 feet long", but to this reporter it appeared much smaller, perhaps 20 feet long and 2 feet in diameter. Could this be a shape-shifting craft?

The object had what appeared to be a propulsion system in it's tail end, but the mechanism was not moving....

That would be funny. Maybe the aliens are trying to "blend" in by using a blimp as a disguise. Wait until they make a mistake... like using their massive, futuristic holo-projector-TV screen and accidentally play porn instead of sports. Or start trying to write out sentences on the side so that people should read it (part of blending in), which makes no sense, whatsoever.

OR

Maybe its a bunch of terrorists? Seeing that they are having a hard time hijacking a plane nowadays... they decided to hijack a blimp.

ow well.
Blimp... UFO... what's the difference?

Well, it's certainly cigar shaped, and appears to have little fins on one end. I wish we had higher resolution, and some reference for determining the size.

I live and work near the Rosebowl and have seen my share of blimps. Normal blimps are loud--you can hear them miles away.

I'm assuming this is a remote controlled bird. It's odd though. I don't see any method of propulsion. No sound, no propellers, yet it is controlled. Weird one.

As posted earlier. It's a Hyperblimp. A remote controlled blimp. Nothing UFO'ish about it. He even has a link to news UFO stories on his page which are his blimps.
