Just found this on AOL's front page. This animal is part panda, part dog, and all cute!!! Seriously, this is the cutest animal ever. I'm getting a serotonin overdose just looking at it

I'm not sure if this is actually a real breed of dog, or just a very good dye job. But either way, it was way too cool not to mention here at ATS. I doubt that this animal is a hybrid, since its almost impossible to breed between species, but its still pretty cool.

Here's the link to the video of the dog in action. Turn your volume all the way up for a hilarious song by Tiny Tim in the background

Allllll righty then!

I had a purple hamster for about two days, till all his hair fell out.

Do not dye your mutt to look like a panda!

And yes it would go nicely with bean sprouts and some pak choi.

Oh, it’s definitely a cross breed... But not between a panda and a dog.

Adorable, but alas, not quite a crypto beast.

A dog named 'Columbo', a cross-breed between a poodle and a Maltese and dyed to look like a panda...

Just to add to the cuteness, here's a Chow Chow puppy dyed in a similar fashion.

Remember though, dyeing your pets is cruel and harmful!

Ahh... that clears up a lot of questions. At first, I thought that people in China had invented a new breed of dog that looked like a panda. Still pretty cool though

That is way too cute. And I agree that dying your dog different colours is a terrible thing to do. Just imagine if someone forcibly held you down and dyed your skin blue.

More panda puppies that are absolutely impossible to resist.

- Chow Chow Puppy
- More Chow Chow Puppy
- Still more...
- Chow Chow All Growed Up!

More here.

The Panda Dog is a kind of trendy “designer dogs,” that can fetch $1,000 a piece.

They're all just really good dye jobs. The animals don't seem to be bothered by it... They aren't scratching incessantly, don't have chunks of hair falling out, no redness or rash. I'd be worried about the fur area around the eyes though... Especially during the process of dying.

Very cute though!!

So it's safe to dye human hair but not animal fur? I'm really asking btw =]

Do you wash and brush your hair with your mouth and swallow what gets stuck in there?
Me neither. Dyes and bleaches leave some nasty residues and toxins in the hair itself - not something you want your pet to eat.

Actually they made special dyes for dogs that are non toxin what so ever. So I dont know what the big deal is. Theyve been dying poodles for who knows how long no one ever says anything about that. Some people even think putting clothes on your dog is cruelty or humiliating to them big huge BS lol. My chihuahua Teddy actually brings me his sweater everytime it gets pretty cold. He loves that thing so yeah...

I want to capture it...and hold it...and put it in a mayonnaise jar with a leaf and a stick to recreate what it is used to.
