I dont think its anything but personal.
I think everyone in america is glad shes doing the 40 days, I am.
She is just so arrogant and needed to be put in her place and thats all it comes down to. No conspiracy just personal.
In a twilight zone kinda way this is her 15 minutes

My curiosity is why there was seemingly no equivalent desire to see Sandy Berger put in jail, or outrage when he was allowed to walk without doing any time.
Do you think driving with a suspended license is worse than destroying documents from the National Archives prior to 9/11 Commission testimony?

Welll... I've SEEN what Paris Hilton can do and she still got 40 days. Sandy Berger must be one super super-freak. I bet he's been inducted into ALL the secret societies.
Sandy: 'Can I get in the coffin again?'
Members: 'You already been in three times tonight! We're not even inducting anybody!'

Sandy Berger didn't do any jail time for stealing and destroying classified documents from the National Archives
Or why Scooter Libby got 30 months in jail for a "crime" that somebody else committed

But I do believe Paris needs to serve jail time. Actually, it might be good for her. She can DETOX while in jail.

Just wondering if there is a rational explanation why Paris Hilton is sitting in jail for driving with a suspended driver's license and Sandy Berger didn't do any jail time for stealing and destroying classified documents from the National Archives prior to his testimony in front of the 9/11 Commission.
Or why Scooter Libby got 30 months in jail for a "crime" that somebody else committed and Sandy Berger got nothing for admittedly destroying classified documents that potentially obstructed the 9/11 investigation.
What's also curious is that many CTers (coming from an anti-neocon, anti-Republican, anti-Bush, anti-rich mindset) will think that Hilton and Libby got what they deserved, and don't seem bothered in the least that Berger, Bill Clinton's former National Security Advisor, walked with no jail time.

I have no sympathy for Scooter. If that crime was done by someone else, why didn't Scooter do the right thing and call foul? I have no sympathy for these lacky boys who will do anything their masters tell them. Even the illegal stuff.

But hey, it was Paris Hilton that had to be taught a lesson by doing jail time, right?
At Cornell, Berger was a member of the Quill and Dagger society with Paul Wolfowitz and Stephen Hadley.
