Does anyone know the aviation freqs for AREA 51 including the CALL TO SCRAMBLE to shoot down aircraft thats flying close by the restricted airspace?

I'm sure the frequencies used for an alert situation would be encrypted so there would be no way you could detect the transmission.

You could detect an encrypted transmission, as long as it wasn't a frequency agile transmission, which most US radios are now, but all you'd hear is squealing and static. Unless you have the right codes. But the planes aren't scrambled from Groom Lake to intercept. They come from Nellis AFB from what I can recall. And they don't automatically shoot down anyone entering the airspace. They intercept, identify and escort out just like any OTHER restricted airspace.

This sounds like a stab at another "infiltrate Groom" attempt.

Will they never end ? >sigh<

Actually Lexicon this is a very valid question. Here are the frequencies listed in chronological order for the thread starter. Found them through an ATS google search.

I understand that people listen in on those freq's.

The OP asked specifically about freq's used to scramble fighters in case
of an airspace violation.

That is what I drew my conclusion from.

Lex

Edit to add : See below. I think my point has been made.

Is there a freq listed there in that website that use the scramble to shoot freqs?

As I said in my earlier post (which you apparently ignored) there IS NO SCRAMBLE TO SHOOT frequency. They DO NOT scramble planes to automatically shoot down anything entering their airspace. They scramble fighters from Nellis, they intercept the plane, identify it, and order it back to Nellis with them, where they are met by the FBI and interrogated for many hours, and usually will have their license at the least suspended. There is no such thing as a scramble to shoot down unless they KNOW it's a hostile aircraft. And you can't know that just from looking at a radar screen.

I have a friend who used to work for the BLM. They (the BLM aircraft) flew into and over the restricted airspace all the time. They called the tower, asked for clearance, and were given clearance or were told approximately how long it would be. Then they decided whether to hang out burning holes in the sky, or go around.
