A typical them who have it and those who do not

My car got vandalised 4 weeks ago, got the perps on camera but not good enough to identify, so the dvd of the film has gone to a mate of mine for enhancement of the film and subsequent stills for identification.

I have a 75% I.D. on the the two main suspects and would duly go and put their faces into next week, but because they are only 15 or 16 then the old bill (police) have warned me not to do so because of arrest and a term inside for me........................to$$er$.

My point is what has happenend to the law around the world, we get hassled by kids and our hands are tied, you get the rich flouting the law and getting off virtually scot free (and a series on tv to follow about their ordeal)

Does the common man / woman, the working class, the engine behind every countries economy, do we count for nothing, just a glorified TAX COW.

I would support an Eye for an Eye policy anytime, and before the PC brigade jump on that comment, I'm paying taxes to keep you and your pals safe too.

Well it comes down to the simple fact in the American saga that if you have plenty of money and given generous amounts of it to influential candidates . . . they will come back and help you break out of jail. I heard that her family gave good money to Arnold's campaign. [Edited by Don W]

No doubt about that, giving to Arnold’s campaigns. Of course Arnold has plenty of his own money, several 100 mil. But even the rich like more money. It seems there is just never enough! Like they say, “it’s hard to keep a rich man in prison.” Or woman.

This is pretty hilarious - didn't Martha Stewart, an old lady (a billionaire, not heir to a comparatively small $20M piece of a hotel chain) who ostensibly lives for cleanliness and order actually serve five months in jail? And this little dingbat who's quite familiar with the filth of drugs and partying breaks down after a few days. I just had to find humor in this. I read in another article that the inmates had to watch "Troy" through their windows together on a communal television... Maybe that's what put her over the edge?

Yes, but Martha ran afoul of the Feds. It's much easier to "exert influence" or as we poor folks say, to bribe a state official than it is to bribe a Federal official. Just look at Scooter Libby's problem. You know both VP Cheney and Bush43 are dying to pardon him - stop him from talking - but B43 is scared of the electoral ramifications in November, '08. I predict a pardon on Dec 1, 2008.

Right, and good point - I wonder what would have happened to Paris had she gotten arrested in a different state, or even jurisdiction within California. I suppose my main point of humor was that an old lady did her "time" and from television interviews didn't seem really all too phazed by it. But a young, healthy girl who prided herself on "taking responsibility" and by telling press she "had an opportunity to serve at a pay-facility, but wanted to serve her time like regular folk" (paraphrased) could not take it. There's no disputing the "celebrity factor of justice" in certain areas of California especially.

I remember hearing Arpaio offering her a place at the Maricopa Tent City... perhaps some fresh air will heal what's current "ailing" her.

Im sure she was going through withdrawal from whatever drugs she was taking and gotten so sick they had to send her packing. Anyone else they wouldve kept her there to suffer, but shes rich and famous so of course she got special treatment.

Use the word "Justice" in a sentence.

"You can do anything you want, regardless of legality, justice long as you have a big pile of cash."

I'm with Dock. Does anyone care about Paris Hilton, or what she does?
I know absolutely no-one who gives a rat's arse about her or any other pseudo-celebrity. No one comes up to me breathlessly gasping "Did you hear what Paris did today?" Ever.

So why does the media keep jamming her and her ilk down our throats?
Who is it that decides that Paris's doings constitute news?
Whoever it is should be fired immediately.

Perhaps her illness was a bribe...

My opinion is that 4 to 6 weeks ago Paris moved to heroin. Nobody including her parents or the L.A. County Jail system was aware of this problem. Apparently she thought she could 'tough it out' in jail.

When the authorities became aware that she was in withdrawal they realized that they did not have the facilities or the personnel to properly treat Paris for withdrawal from heroin.

I assume that it was then decided to give her a bracelet and let her get proper medical attention.

I learned about Paris' move to herion about 4 to 6 weeks ago from contacts in Los Angeles. When she was given a sentence I wondered how she was going to handle it.

This morning when I heard Paris was released for a medical problem I knew immediately what was probably going on.

its ok guys... heres why. after her "in-mansion" arrest ends, shes going to have a big party to celebrate, get very drunk and slam her car into the side of a school bus. the best part will be the school bus will be filled with all the kids of the parents who were outside the courthouse protesting her sentencing saying "she does so much good for the community and is such a role model... a girl like that doesn't deserve to be in jail". well, either that or she ironically gets shanked by the help inside her own shower.

She's a manufactured role model for the female youth. Dragging down standards in morality and intelligence. Children and weak minded individuals emulate celebrities, I believe she serves to drag down humanity and act as a diversion to real news.

Someone asked, "What is she famous for". Lets not forget that she reached world wide fame by sucking a C##K on video.

You can buy your way through the legal system. You guys didn't know that? I have a personal experience on this topic. I'm not rich, nor going to explain.

Micheal Jackson....
O.J. Simpson....
R. Kelly, and they had him on tape.....

They didn't get off because they were black, they got off because they had green.

Now Ms.. Hilton. What medical issue? Did she break a nail? Any normal (middle/lower class) would be ignored. If the injury was serious, like stab wounds or a broken leg, they would be handcuffed to the hospital bed.

So much blatant corruption in the USA these days.

Police corruption.
Judicial system corruption.
Political Corruption.
Military Corruption (Remember the assassination attempt on Cheney? Only high level military would know his whereabouts.)

What will be the last straw?

I bet Martha Stewart is wishing she'd thought of the same thing lol. At least she toughed it out, althought I think the place she stayed at was actually really nice but whatever.

I need to start a collection of these kinda stories. Recently I've noticed so much corruption by people in power and it really upsets me. The middle and lower class of America are being sqeezed from every angle for their dollar by corporations. The average middle class income has dropped over the past decades, just trying to get by and going into debt trying to maintain their standard of living. The rich/ upper class seem to be living without rules. Whether it's this Paris Hilton thing or crimes by corporations and politicians. If these people can do whatever it takes to increase their already FAT walets, why can't everyone else follow suit? It's abuse is what it is.

Paris's punishment is yet to start. Have no doubt that there are a bunch of loonies in the US right now who are just itching to pop Paris. If she's not wrapped up in bodyguards and armour plate for the next few years she could just go the way of John Lennon.

Well it seems that the decision on letting her go has gotten to much attention and now the judge wants her back in court in the morning.

I think that is too much complains, demonstrations and media awareness so something will be done.

Give Paris a break

Come on guys give her a break. The poor girl has had to be dragged through the press, which she isn't used to. She has had to go to prison for three days whilst being ill, and she will still serve her time. I mean it must be torture sitting in a mansion furnished with the finest linens and most luxurious items in the worked. Eating restruant quality food that's prepared for you at a whim.

If you couldn't tell, i was being sarcastic.

At the same time she'll have all her friends visiting her for morale support, having makeovers and laughing. No doubt she'll get 4 months of tv time explaining how horrible her prison cell was. What with two beds and a sizeable cell that she had to herself. I mean that's a tortuous kind of prison isn't it.

Why have seperate prisons for the rich and famous? Surely if you break the law you should just go to prison, the nasty kind of prison. The kind of place where you have to be careful with soap and near death to even be seen by a doctor.

Its Friday morning and Paris has just arrived at the courthouse. I am watching the news and nobody gets it yet.

Oh she's sick all right. But its not what everybody thinks.

Paris is a heroin addict and she cannot go through withdrawal without proper medical attention. The jail in which she was placed was not equipped with the facilities or personnel to handle an addict going through withdrawal. It is painful beyond belief and requires care and supervision.

My guess is that the judge will have to be told what the problem is because L.A. County who now knows what the problem is is not going to take her back in her condition. He might be told that in chambers to avoid the publicity.

Everybody now thinks she is getting a break from L.A. County. Not true. Its just they have no way of handling her withdrawal.

It will be very interesting to see what transpires in the next few hours.
