Man lodged in wheelchair goes on wild ride

www.woodtv.com

The wheel chair of a 21-year-old man became lodged in the grill of a semi truck as the vehicle pulled out of a gas station. The semi then began driving down Red Arrow Highway, with its new and unusual hood ornament still attached.

The unwitting semi truck driver then proceeded to travel west on Red Arrow Highway at speeds of approximately 50 MPH.

You cannot write this stuff, but I am glad this turned out okay for the wheelchair guy. It could have ended tragically.

Even so, it says a lot for the quality of the wheelchair he was in, as the photos on the source website show the rear tires straining under a huge load, and imagine being pushed at 50 MPH in that thing??

Wow, I am speechless.

The least that selfish trucker could have done was get that rig up to at least 80 MPH or somethin'. A lousy 50MPH. And he should have been tootin' his horn and flashin' his lights and all. Poor wheelchair guy. I bet he feels like he got ripped off.

I just read this and was hoping I was going to post it first.

No way!! I checked the date to make sure it wasn't April 1st.

I just can't... No Way!!!

That guy is pretty lucky that his chair held up. He could be like the Jared of wheelchairs. He should get an agent.

Or as lombozo might say:
"Wheelchair guy, thinking he's all cool goin' 50 miles an hour and getting endorsements and stuff. I hate that guy."

A little off topic:
Did anyone listen to the 911 calls? That third caller is ridiculous. That has to be the most annoying thing for a 911 operator (at least it is annoying for me). Seriously, you are of no help if you can't get any info out of your mouth because you cannot control yourself.

I think I've seen this happen many times in comedy movies and always thought 'that could never happen in real life'. I guess I was wrong

He was in the gas station not on the crosswalk or the street. I read someone saying that people arent paying attention on streets and crosswalk however this was not the case he for some reason or another put his wheelchair infront of the truck at the gas station and the truck pulled out and his wheelchair handles got caught on the grill. Thats crazy how it happened but apparently it did!?

I thought this was so sad when I read it. He was scared for his life. Poor guy.

I'm thankful the guys wheelchair did hold up. What a tough wheelchair he had, and a nice guardian angel watching over him.

He should play the lottery, LOL.
