Missing Conn. girl found in hidden room

West Hartford Police Capt. Lori Coppinger said the girl was scared and timid, crying quietly as she left the house. An officer found her when he slid the dresser back to reveal a locked door.

The officer said, "Lieutenant, you better get in here," Blatter said.

The girl was sitting inside a room that was about 3 feet high and 4 to 5 feet deep. Police said they did not find bedding inside.

Does anyone find this really strange? I just don't know what the heck is happening in society these days.

Why would anyone to lock up a child like this? It's time to enforce laws to the fullest and really bear down on people that harm children.

I read this story on CNN. There is a lot more to this than is being released.Apparently the girl had problems at home and kept running away, and this guy I believe convinced her to stay there. I don't believe she was held completely against her will, nor was she kept in that room.She was simply found there hiding from the police as she did not want to go home.I think she needs a lot of therapy regardless of whether she was held against her will or not.
