"I am sorry for all the misunderstanding we have had. I finally know how you can get so involved and engrossed in a game and play all day."
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (August 27)
Fire Emblem (November 5)
Super Mario Galaxy (November 12)
Super Smash Bros Brawl (December 3)
Mario Kart Wii (Early 2008)
Wii Fit (TBA)
During Nintendo's E3 2007 conference, Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aime told the world what it wanted to hear: Super Mario Galaxy will release this year, on November 12.
We're realists. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption can't and doesn't look as good as some of today's cutting-edge games on more powerful consoles. But for Wii, a console that so far hasn't proven that it is even dramatically more powerful than GameCube, it's stunning.
Samus controls better in Prime 3 than she ever has before. In fact, the heroine's tight maneuverability and speed nurture a level of accuracy never before possible in a console-based first-person experience. Retro has included three different sensitivity levels for fans, so if you're the type who prefers a big bounding box and slower turns, you can do that. However, we highly recommend that all gamers play Prime 3 with advanced controls, which shrink the bounding box so that Samus turns quickly when your on-screen reticule begins to stray in any direction.
Nintendo has officially announced the release date of Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Nintendo Wii. The game will release on December 3, 2007 -- later in the year than some thought (a few expected this to be the game to go up against Halo 3 or GTA4), but this gives room to the slew of other great titles from Nintendo for the system.
At their E3 2007 press conference, Nintendo announced Mario Kart for Wii. The game will launch Q1 2008 and will take advantage of the Wii's online capabilities, allowing online versus play.
During his speech at Nintendo's E3 2007 conference, Reggie announced a new channel to be made available on the Wii. Titled "Check Mii Out," players will be able to put their Miis on display and compare them with the world. Your Wii friends will be able to vote on your Mii creations.
Reggie did not disclose when the "Check Mii Out" channel will be available.
Nintendo announced another title in their line of casual games at this year's E3 Press conference. Wii Fit is a series of games designed to increase fitness through balance and aerobics. The game uses a new peripheral, the Wii Balance Board. The white board, about the size of an average home weight scale, is used for the entire game.
An aerobic demonstration showed off a few of the features of the title. A Yoga-like balance exercise involves players having to stand on one leg and stretch. Nintendo also demonstrated a dance step aerobic exercise, a sort of toned down Dance Dance Revolution using the player's Mii character.
The Wii Balance Board also functions as a scale that measure the player's center of balance and body mass index. Players can track the BMI with everyone in the family, and see who is the fattest. Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America President, weighed in with a BMI of 27.25, in the high range of "Overweight" and a mere 2.75 points away from "Obese."
Q: Will third parties use the Wii Balance Board?
A: Given that we announced the Wii Balance Board just yesterday, we've since had a number of inquiries from third parties. We've also had some interest from the physical fitness industries. Many individuals in the medical industry are interested in it for the purposes of treatment.
Q: What other types of programs do you enision for the Wii Balance Board in the future?
A: I think there are a variety of different possibilities. Probably the simplest and most straightforward would be a snowboarding game.
Nintendo has smashed fears that the eagerly-awaited Super Smash Bros. Brawl won't make use of Wii's Wi-Fi Connection by announcing a four-player online battle mode and saying that more Wi-Fi modes will be revealed in the weeks to come.

Its been out for 9 months and still VERY difficult to find in my area. If they put out units on the shelves the moment you turn around it seems they are gone.
I currently only own a 360...

The designers of the Wii must get a kick out of aggravating the users, as the arrow pad is just beyond thumb reach.

Along with that, the rest of the lower buttons -, +, etc, are also out of reach while playing,
Super Smash Bros. Brawl Sells A Million
Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a super smash hit in Japan. When it went on sale, the game sold out at loads of Tokyo game shops, and in the last two weeks, the title has shifted a million copies. It took Wii Fit seven weeks to hit a million copies sold, and it took Wii Sports eleven weeks to hit that milestone. That makes Super Smash Bros. Brawl the fastest selling Wii game, which should make Nintendo very, very happy.

I will also be among the early buyers of Smash Bros. Smash and Kart are the only games I'm definitely buying for myself.
The Channel will also have limited community features: you'll be able to see what shows your friends have highlighted, and Nintendo will centrally track these records (as well as star-ratings for each program). Still pointless, but a little more interesting. Finally, it'll also let you register your mobile number and e-mail address: mark a show on the guide that you wanna see, and 30 minutes before it starts you'll get a text message and/or an email about it.

The coolest feature we've heard about, though, is the ability to use the Wii remote as a universal remote control. Wii owners can use the controller to change channels, adjust the volume, and switch back and forth between their shows and the TV Guide Channel. Apparently, the sensor bar transmits your commands to your TV, making this all possible ... in Japan.
