Long ago I just to work for a certain US Government outfit but I still keep in contact with a few of my "buddies" and this is what I found out.

The US troops are "loosing" many of their military equipment in places where they are fighting and the enemy are taking the equipment away as a survenir.

What the "enemy" don't know is that they have micro GPS transmitters
somewhere in the item that the US troops can track and then find their hide out.

WARNING: Any new weapon or cases of ammo that you might buy from now on DO NOT I say again my last transmission DO NOT keep them with your regular stach or in your hide out.......make a new place for them away from the old ones.

When it comes time to take our weapons away they would be easy to find.

What an idiotic post. So these people would kill or capture US GIs. Take their equipment and you would tip off their killers to be careful ?

What planet are you on ?

I said "loosing", in other words the equipment falls of the trucks or the the pockets of the military "by accident"...... all that they are doing is salting the terrain with lost equipement on purpose.

At this time I am thinking more of what the US government could do to us in the future.......take away our weapons and next it will be our liberty.

One more time....... that equipment is being lost on purpose by the US armed forces in order for the "enemy" to find them and take them back to home base.

The only reason that I am posting this is because someday they will try to take our weapons away by using the same trick....... don't place your new weapons or ammo with your old ones.

Have you any idea how small a transmitter would have to be to fit within an ammo case and not affect performance? Such a transmitter would have to be able to withstand enormous pressures. Also, assuming that you were able to install a transmitter that didn't go to rats the first time you fired it, its' effective range would be miniscule.

Weapons have been fitted with transmitters (or 'jarked' in military terms) for years in the uk, but only as part of pre-planned anti-terrorist ops. It is completely cost ineffective to fit such transmitters to every weapon that is releasd into the public domain.

The majority of weapons released for public resale are stripped down and re-fitted by the buyers. There are too many civilian experts and information in the publc domain about how these weapons work for this plan to be viable. The chances of such a transmitter not being discovered are astronomical. All it takes is for one to be discovered and the whole system would be blown.

I do not dispute the fact that certain pieces of kit may be jarked, but this would not be routine. It is probably (read almost certainly) done to pieces of kit that are sensitive or of value to the enemy as part of a specific pre-planned operaation.

Paddy? the government are years ahead of what is realeased to the general public.......like the GPS, the faster that you travel the slower that the position arrow will reach the point where you are at.

Who knows about the ammo box, maybe a micro GPS is inside of a bullet and for the rifles maybe in the back of the stock a hole was drilled and filled up again.

I am not an electronic expert and only know what they are doing by what I have been told but there is no reason for it to be not true.

There is a lot going on that the American people don't know about including actives wars or guerrillas.

Doubt it! I have several "new" weapons that I have taken apart to clean etc... down to the firing pin - no microchip! I've midified my weapons (Within the limit of the law) and haven't found anything to support your claim. Perhaps on larger weapons or dummy weapons, but not your average firearm. Sorry, I'm not buying it.

You crack on mate. How you waste your time is your business. I have a better than fair idea of what the military uses for counter surveilance in anti-terrorist roles. I know what they have and what it is capable of, as well as the limitations.

Jarking relies on the weapons being used and handled as little as possible. This is why it is used in military anti terrorist ops - the weapons are usually collected, used, then moved straight on to a hide in order to prevent the shooters being caught red handed. Weapons can go a long time without being stripped or cleaned, so the transmitter can go a long time without being discovered, especially if you are a bit clever in how you place it. But thats a different story

There is no practical benefit for the potential technological and monitary expendature that is required to fit these transmitters on a regular basis. The chances of discovery are too high for the government spin-doctors to risk.

It could happen, I'll take that choice. They are probably at least looking into how it could be done if needed.
