I would think that it would be difficult for a cop to thrive on a board like ATS. When a cop asks a question, he does it with the expectation that
you're going to lie to him in order to avoid getting arrested. So his job demands that he be more cynical than the average person.
Cops also don't like to be second-guessed, nor do they like to be challenged, or put in a position where they are not in control.
Some of those characteristics serve him well in his job, but not on a discussion board like ATS.
I would imagine that there are discussion boards where a cop would feel right at home. Boards where he is surrounded with other cops. Boards that
discuss enforcement techniques, or weapons technology, for example.
As for the two cases that Semper mentioned, I'd have to read their posts before I could say one way or the other. And I know Semper well enough to
know that he would never publicly state their names here.
