Mind you I believe there is a Canadian Forces base there also.
"McCubbin describes the object as a hang glider shape, but about the size of a small airplane, and white with dark ridges running from nose to tail. She says the object was silent and glowing. It circled overhead, underneath the low-lying clouds, and then flew west toward Vancouver."

I'll disagree with you on that issue. ASU Chilliwack is a large hub for the Reserve Forces. Keep in mind though it's an Army Reserve support facility and has a few Regular Force members there as well as Reserve Force members.
I know this because I was attached posted there 3 years ago.
There arn't any air assets there either.

Hmmm, just maybe it was a glider then. I live between Vancouver and Chilliwack, there are number of places that offer hang gliding / para gliding around here. So it doesn't seem so improbable that it could have been one. I read on another link where she says that gliders can't make tight circles nor rise in altitude, which is wrong. They can and they do. When a glider hits a thermal, they tend to circle within it and rise in altitude. The more I read about it, the more it sounds like a glider. It seems to have all the signs of one anyway.

I'm going to keep a check on the Earthquake activity your way. Sometimes activity picks up in areas where something is about to happen.
I have been checking Vancover Island and Inland for Earthquakes. IRIS said one time that if a quake hit inland and they (named the town) with a 5.5 /higher that the land being made of what it is would sink and the area was I believe heavily populated.
IRIS stated that the time has passed in that area for such an event but I have been still checking it the last 2 months. The highest quake has only been in the mid-4 range.

I did read about this sighting whilst googling flood updates One news report suggested it may have been aircraft flying over the river monitoring. I live near the Fraser, and there has been more aircraft flying overhead lately, but this is mostly during daylight hours.
Another report suggested it was a flock of birds!
