The problem is not one specific to Islam, or even to religion in general, it is a universal human flaw.

Christianity has a hugely violent history.
Islam hay be a hotbed of fanaticism at this particular moment in time - but it has a long way to go to catch up with Christianity's death toll.

well... is it because of islam. that's the question you need to answer. are they doing these things because of islam or because of socioeconomic factors. now, i'd agree with you if the killings were done... let's say by educated moderate muslims in canada.

the issue is that you can't specifically link ISLAM do the violence, only those associated with islam.

Do you know, that in Islam, if you use violence to spread the religion that you are in fact not a Muslim? Did you know that Muhammad said Muslims should not force Christians and Jews to convert?

I myself, am critical of parts of Islam, but I've taken the time to read and understand the religion before I made criticism. You should do the same.

yes, i actually did. jews and christians are called people of the book, and allah seems to like those people. i still haven't gone through the holy book cover to cover yet, it's on my to do list.

Saudi Arabia you cannot be a atheist to enter the country, and SOMETIMES they don't have a good record when it comes to Christians.

Christianity is legal under Egyptian law, btw.
