Sorry for this, I need you tell me Why the Italian Aviation engine Ltd were called Fiat SpA?
I mean the Fiat is the name of this Ltd, but what the SpA stand for?
Would you please teach me the complete spelling of Sp.A ?
If I'm not mistaken, Fiat is a corporation sub-owned by Ferrari that produces economical practical vehicles. I've never heard of any instance where
they've made aircraft.
Wasn't saying they weren't involved with Aviation, just saying the only applications that I've heard of Fiat being involved in were in the
Automotive industry.
Fiat produced single engined fighters, tri-motor bombers and transport planes during WW2. They also produced the Fiat G.92 fighter in the Sixties and
seventies based upon the F-86F Sabre. The built a twin engined turboprop freighter like a smaller version of the C-130 Hercules called the Fiat G.222.
