Thanks for sharing PwN3d
I agree that as a general rule, people should avoid ouija boards for the simple reason they can open you to influences about which you know nothing
(other than what they may choose to tell you).
Most importantly, you open yourSELF to something you have no sound reason to trust.
It's similar to giving your name, address, phone number and other personal details to a total stranger on the net, or phone. Having once done so,
you have no control over if, or when, they might turn up in your living room. And being invisible (as are contacts made via ouija board) you would
have no idea if or when they were observing you or even sitting on your shoulder. Who needs that?
Most people learn about the paranormal between ten and their teen years and seem to hear about these easy-to-use ouija boards at around the same time.
It sounds exciting. Most of these kids have never really had a decent-size scare in their lives. On the other hand, some have a natural leaning
towards what they regard as the dark-side and are fascinated to learn more.
Carried away by their curiosity and enthusiasm (and adults are no different) they want to 'play' with a ouija board to see if everything they've
heard is true. It's innocent in most cases. They imagine that when they're done, they can walk away and that will be that.
In many instances, it works out that way and there are no problems. So they tell their friends --- and promise it's 'harmless' and fun.
Others aren't so lucky however, as you've discovered.
Unfortunately, no amount of warnings will deter some people from experimenting, so they should at least take the time to learn about ouija boards and
what they're messing with. At very least, they should remember to take the precaution of asking for divine protection before commencing. After all,
would you start up a car without knowing how to switch it off? Would you start a fire without knowing how to extinguish it? Would you open every
window and door in your house without learning how to close them again when darkness or rain or intruders were around?
Having said that, there are those who do use ouija boards without apparent harm to themselves or others, just as there are those who claim to have
received reliable information via ouija boards. Presumably, they follow rituals of protection both prior and at the close of their communication.
Warnings abound, however, re: ouija boards and in fact with regard to most divination devices (the bible doesn't recommend such devices or
practices). For example, it's frequently warned that initially, ouija boards provide 'good' information in non-threatening manner. But it's
warned that as the user gains confidence and trust in the device, they are provided false, frightening etc. information. They may also discover that
the 'person' with whom they've been communicating is NOT content to vanish when the user says so.
It's been claimed that in some cases, users of ouija boards have become 'possessed' by the entity or entities. Not good. Not always easily or
swiftly solved, either.
It's said that fools rush in where angels fear to tread. It's also said that wise men learn by observation, whilst fools learn by experience.
Nice of you to take the time to tell your story in the hope it will be of help to others, PwN3d ........ and hope you enjoy ATS
