Ancient Space Man Rock Carving at Val Camonica

I recently had need to try and offer proof that the Val Camonica Space Man Carvings (shown below) are fake. However, after hours of searching, I was unable to find anything that proved this. I did come across several websites that offered explanations other than the space man theory (such as the 'ring' around the figures head is a crown, or the carving depicts a 'solar god'), but nothing that offered clear evidence that the rock carving is a fake.



I'm interested to see if anyone has any info or suggestions on where to look for info showing that this carving is a fake.

And for the record, I believe the rock carving is genuine and do believe it is an ancient depiction of alien visitors. Someone recently told me that the carvings are fake, so trying to find any info to validate what I was told.

Personally I think the carvings are real, there are quite a few documented carvings depicting spacemen, so for me I would have to say REAL!!
