All i see on that web page you provided is a load of fearmongering self-pitying tripe mixed with some fact.

Those that say they want it all to end i must ask why this is ?

I'm not entirely convinced that the equator and geographical polls actually flip or move dramatically in perfect correlation with alignment to the super black hole center in our galaxy...it may be that in the past - because there is mountains of evidence such as coral reefs and see shells on mountain tops in the Western United States and other parts of the world with other evidence as well such as massive and very fast changes - as our solar system crosses the plain (think of it as a 12" record and we bob below it and above it during our rotation around galactic center...oh and we are out on the outer edges now which is a good thing that we aren’t so close to center) it may be that in previous passes, we came near to another stellar object that would intersect our system as we move around. That would account for much of the violent earth changes we see in evidence of our history such as frozen tropical forests deep down below the snow and ice in Antarctica etc...

It's rather grim and nearly unbearable to think about what such an event would mean for those living through it...what with massive earthquakes unlike anything we know of, the sudden drop or rise in crust possibly flooding some areas, and moving sea floors up into the heavens...then there is the massive loss of life, with that goes loss of technology, and ability to feed everyone. Also think of the nuclear power plants and toxic mess that would follow...it would be nearly impossible to survive. Think of waves that are 600 ft...as large sections of water sweep over hundreds of miles of continent...

Something will happen, but will it be this drastic? If we pass near a gigantic object indeed catastrophic destruction would be imminent, but if it is merely a pass through an electrical magnetic field we may just see some odd effects such as global "northern lights" and such...I wouldn't rule out a coronal ejection either, and that part is scary enough... we need our atmosphere and magnetic structure to keep that stuff out...kind of makes you wonder again about the purpose of H.A.R.P. and the SETI thing in Europe.

Anyway, Brent Miller, from the Horizon Project was on Coast to Coast tonight, and it was a fascinating program. If he's right, God help us!

We dont align up with anything in 2012 that we dont every year on December.I cant find the link but look on bad astronomy forum,a nice person showed how this aligning to the center of the milkway nonsense was just that...nonsense.

I sure hope you're right. I haven't really looked into it very deeply, and assume that many of these people know what they are talking about. However the DVD from the Horizon Project is almost twenty five bucks, so after going on national radio, I bet he rakes in a pretty nice take...

This is nothing but a great winter solstice show. The galactic center will not in any way effect our solar system differently than usually. It is just a show for the observer from earth´s perspective. It might be really cool to watch from an old Mayan temple

Granted, he was talking about premonition, but it also applies to prediction. If you don't hide your eyes in the face of scary things, you can use your head and prepare for them. The more people ignore these things, the more people who are pivotal in their outcomes are ignoring these things. The more people who are pivotal in the outcomes of these things ignore them, the less chance our species has of surviving them. I imagine the 2012 prophecy was planted for one reason: To unite the human race in one thought.

The governments, businesses and religion has failed the masses. It is time for a new order and global freedoms. The 2012 alignment is a self fulfilling prophecy. The people are going to make something happen. It's going to be an awakening.

The businesses have failed us: There are no jobs.
The governments have failed us: Special interests priority only.
The religions have failed us: Hate and wars over who's god.

Good change does not come without labor pains. There might be a world war over this.

We are always under the effect of the suns gravity and the gravity of the galaxy ,all that is happening here is guys like Dan Eden are trying to make it look like we will have problems because we will cross the galatic plane.
