I have been prone to paranormal stuff from an early age!
When i was 15 i awoke to see my Auntie in my bedroom re-arranging some of my clothes, I waited until she had left the room because i was in a state of bareness, then i got up and went downstairs to witness my Dad crying. he told me that my Auntie had passed away 10 minutes previously - God i was scared!

A few years later i started to experience the 11-11 phenomena!
It seemed most times i glanced at my digital watch or caught sight of the video player clock it was at 11-11 - to this day i don't know what this means, but now i have a broadband connection along with a good PC i aim to do some research on this - I am also hoping some of you people out there can shed some light on this!
just what is the significance of 11-11?

Then last week i was perusing music sites when i came across a progressive rock artist by the name of Ian Bartlett and a song called "The Twelfth Dream"
I clicked on it and played it, and to my shock the lyrics he was singing described in perfect detail a recurring dream i have been having for the last couple of years!
I have never heard of this guy before, yet he is singing about my dream, which i find both weird and exciting!
But how can he be linked to me? I am not a musician myself, he looks nothing like me - Nothing at all to be linked to me - I am thinking about emailing him, but am a bit scared as to what i might discover - can anyone throw any light on this as to why it is happening?

I have provided a link below where you can find him!

www.audiostreet.net...

I hope some of you can help out here, because although it is in a funny way pretty exciting, I can't help feeling an uneasy feeling too!

The thing about your aunt is weird...paranormal and spiritual in nature. As for the 11:11 symptoms. It's just a number and I doubt it has any significance.

As for the song; someone else spoke about something very similar a few years ago on ATS.
The thing is...it is a very high probability that it could just be a coicidense...but I do not know.

Sdrawkcab - Thank you for taking the time out to answer my question!

Re your dream and the artist who has written a song with that theme. You must remember that recurring dreams are just a way of you trying to tell yourself something. You'll keep having the dream until you understand what is being relayed in the dream, even if it takes years to work it out.

You will also find that people tend to have similar imagery in dreams - though not always put together in the same way, and also they often have their 'own' imagery to represent something (my recurring dream always involved neglected plants..always geraniums...and I eventually 'cracked' the dream after many years when a certain person was involved in a dream, bringing me a geranium)

Feel free to contact the songwriter but don't be surprised if he thinks you're a nutter. Many authors and songwriters are confronted by people telling them that a certain song is about them - I know a lot of songwriters who have had this happen to them and because they don't know the person and they actually know what they wrote the song about, it scares the begeebers out of them and they think they have a mad stalker. As for authors, my cousin is an author, and he had a fan accuse my cousin of stealing his thoughts to write a story. Needless to say, my cousin gave him a wide birth.

It may be that the songwriter has the same dream imagery as you, but don't forget songwriters use anything they can to write a song, even if they sing 'I' or he may have heard someone talking or read something but in any case, remember when the fan turned up at John Lennon's house and told him that he must have a connection because one of his songs was about him? It happened while Lennon was making a film about his life, and this fan just turned up, so the whole thing was featured in the film. It was back in the days of innocence, and Lennon invited him in. He offered him tea, and then proceeded to put this fan straight, telling him he didn't even knew he existed.

If you contact the songwriter, you may find a positive response, but you must be prepared for the guy to be scared and to think you are nuts.

Stranger Than Fiction ..

True, truth is often stranger than fiction, but I just wanted to point out to Andromeda 12 that even if the truth is that something metaphysical is going on, the songwriter may not respond in the way expected/hoped for.

Firstly, concerning the visitatation of you aunt. I believe that it was her final farewell gesture to say goodbye. I am sure it must have been quite an experience for you as a young man.
Secondly, numerical coincidences. 11.11. or any other configuration of recurring numbers probabley equate to absolutely nothing unless you are witnessing a disproportionate amount of numbers of equal or repeating values.
The song! I'm sure that in the vast spectrum of the music world there are many songs and lyrics that connect perfectly with someones predicament, feelings or situation. You are no exception to the rule.
My recommendation is that you forget contacting the artist in this instance and deal with the issues you have raised in your post.

No i believe what you said
..i was actually trying to bring the movie STF (Will Ferrell,Emma Thompson) where she is a novelist writing a life story of this IRS man that she needs to kill off in her book ..but then he hears her narrating & thinking he is going crazy ..until he hears her saying he does not know he is going to die...then he starts to find out and leads him to her ..basically like the John Lennon story..

She finds out all her novels were based on real people ..and she was killing them..off topic a bit ..but just to add to your post really made me curious and thinking this could prob be happening ..i mean John Lennon is evidence on his story..

Cheers for your post ,my mind was still rushing on that...

One thing to get ride of the 11:11 symptoms, is to look at the time constantly. I used to see the number 3 alot, but it was because of a routine life.

When you do things a certain way all the time...take lunch on a certain hour & such...you subconsciously repeat these things, without your knowing.

I'm now one to look at the time constantly...and believe me...the number 3is no longer favoured.

Wow boy I'm not about to stalk the songwriter guy, Just to say that i am interested in what the song is about, Maybe ask if he could send me the lyrics, Then I'll try to make sense of it from there!

The thing is, The imagery he is describing, The house on the hill, The woman, The whole waking up with a sense of loss and feeling like he belongs in the dream and that reality as we know it is now rather fuzzy and in fact feels more like a dream than the dream does......All of this is in my dream in perfect detail!

I feel more alive in my dream just like he sings about.....It's one of those strange things, you would have to be me to fully understand it!
