Initially, I thought you may have seen the ISS, but I checked the HSF site at NASA, and if it was the ISS, I'm sure NASA would want to know why it's
completely out of trajectory, considering the current passover times are between 1am and 4am GMT.
Added to that, I don't recall seeing any red light orbiting the ISS. Or any other satellite I've observed using my telescope. But if it's
trajectory was straight, I would assume satellite. Of course, I didn't see it so you may have seen something indicating it wasn't a satellite. But
it's a commonly seen object for a UFO sighting.
As a sidenote, I've seen and heard some pretty strange things in our skies lately. The most recent being something I could hear very loud, but not
see, and had the sound of a very powerful jet mixed with a helicopter rotor, which took a good 30 seconds to pass over.
