I happened to be looking at the Mars Atlas for want of anything better to do, and lo and behold, here’s what I found. Seven objects that looked like they were equally spaced, on a barren plain with nothing else around!
The image is was taken by the MGS Mars Orbiter Camera.
here…

It could be stitch marks, but doesn’t seem so. Or could it be a small natural geological formation? Unlikely as they are too geometrically spaced. If not, then could it be an artificial construction?

Any ideas what it could be?

And then here’s another image of geometrically spaced objects on Mars that are EXACTLY 800 feet apart! It was discussed in one of my threads here…

Is there something more than meets the eye?

There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

Cheers!

at what scale are the images? looks intriguing. also most of the objects or whatever they are appear below the 40th parallel/40N (i think thats what its called) however one appears above the 50th parallel/50N

i've looked at the pix in your link and saw quite a few of these spaced objects (well, at least 4 series of dots), all looking very similar to the one you showed in your link.
Not sure what they are.
any thoughts?

One possible explanation is that its giant entry holes from a giant fork. Some God may have mistaken it for a meatball.

yes but it seems like that the holes or whatever they are start out small at the right and move strongly to the left. shouldn't they all be even? looks more like something broke up moving in a westerly direction with extreme accuracy.

I think that they are stitch marks because all of the three lines of dots that I found are in the same line as the joining of two images.

I am sure this specific "thing" was discussed on here before.
Trying to find it now.

Yeah! The three spaced objects (The lower image) were discussed in my thread here...

I'm thinking they are some sort of marks left by film processing or perhaps made by the emulsion. They don't carry any sort of the depth that the other three objects in the other picture you posted do. As for that pic...I have no idea. I'll speculate geyser but it's a wild chance.
Good find!

These have the same problem. No idea what could cause them though.

Looks alot like this, the shadow is longer in this picture. I can't find an explanation why in your picture the space is allmost identical between the spots.

Hell's bells! Did you notice the very elogated shadow and a puff of 'cloud' over the object in the lower right of the enlarged image? Fascinating to say the least!

Check it out in the 2 mb download or better still the 26 mb one!

Cheers!

Downloaded the 26mb and it is a huge dust devil, very bright and casts a very dark shadown though..Would be nice if they had color pictures of them, instead of 256 bw.

If you zoom into the original image, you can see the aberrations repeated several times as you scroll horizontally. I think they are processing artifacts. They don't look consistent in terms of sharpness and contrast in relation to the different surfaces of the landscape they appear to be sitting on.

I downloaded it too in 26Mb. Those dustdevils are awesome! Of course the whiteness does remind us of clouds/smoke or something like that. Almost looks like a geyser.
