Police Helicopter Chases UFO - Brighton

what do you folks think of this one? looks kinda convincing- but at some points it looks kinda unreal. i've never seen a ufo up close and personal so i really can't judge.

Theres a similar video done by a police chopper in Long Beach, CA, also shot on IR (infrared) video.

The long beach one is much more interesting, has the craft spewing some sort of hot IR material over the city at night...

Seen this video before. This is a kind of alien probe. Not sure what it is looking for. I've seen a similar device before in the sky and it was as clear as day but unfortunately I did not have a camera to capture it.

Looks like another chinese lantern/UFO balloon. If you look at the non-IR video the color and appearance resemble one on the spot, a 'flaming' orange.

Agree, it seems to be that class of balloon. And there's no change of direction at all, so it could be the wind in action. Remember it's filmed from a helicoper, so it's moving as well.

Hmmm the problem with the chinese lantern or a lantern in a balloon idea is that the movement of the object must also be attributed to the movement of a balloon from wind. The candle or lantern on a balloon can produce some dramatic and convincing results, but the movement must be accounted for as well.

Can the movement be the result of wind power alone, is the object being prpelled by some other means (manmade or otherwise?)

I'm glad that the mainstream media is not shy of reporting strange objects these days. I don't remember I saw so many ufo reports from reputed sources in past.

We have two very creditable sources for the sighting - police and bbc... so there was something in the sky that was interesting enough to be followed by police for 10 miles.....

I hope the british police have seen lanterns and balloons before....its too far fetched to assume that smart guys sitting in a govt chopper would follow a lantern. If they did, we need to train our police force a bit better

I guess that they could not catch it or got close? It should be easy for objects blown away by wind. In last few frames, it does resemble a lantern with a cylindrical shape lit by a bright yellow source from the bottom. So I dont know what it is.....

It's not clear from the videos that the object has any airspeed at all. The apparent motion coudl al be due to the helicopter.

True, but look at the Long Beach video case of UFO, it most definitely has a velocity that the chopper has a hard time keeping up with. I don't have a link for it, anyone have one...?

that is a really good vid you picked up there. and interesting....IMO is looks legit but it could be stationary or be flying. the thing i hate about vids like these is that they are always open to interpretation and arent hard evidence.

Every video on YouTube and Google has an ID#. When you are on the YouTube or Google page, watching a video, you can see the ID# up in the url.

The red area above is the ID#. All you have to do is copy that ID# and paste it between yvid tags for YouTube, and gvid tags for Google.

i.e. (yvid)fOweFNPN7Jk(/yvid) for YouTube

...just use brackets [] instead of the parentheses () I used above, and voila! Embedded video.

Whatever it is, I'm glad that the helicopter didn't run into it. Looks
pretty big. The object could have become tangled in the rotor
mechanism, or caused an explosion. Do Chinese Lanterns burn
with fire, or is it some kind of battery driven light source?

People need to learn what's already known in the sky before they shout 'alien'.
