Historically the World Bank has been a dumping ground for political figures in the most politically face saving way and now the concept of rewarding people for doing a job poorly with a position at the World Bank is coming home to roust.

A former Secretary of Defense by the name of Robert McNamara was the head of the World Bank after leaving the LBJ admin.
