Well i think that Super Tony is an idiot and should not be given the responsibility of running a bath never mind the world bank. After all, if he is so great then why did Labour (i.e. Tony) get such a hammering in the recent elections here.

In fact, as a result of his "fine leadership" over the last 10 years, us Scots just voted the Scottish National Party into power. Scotland has been labour forever but Tony has managed to turn us off to them.

Just a reminder, parliament VOTED FOR the Iraq war in a free vote. There were two inquiries held both of which exhonorated Blair but did uncover the fact that the original intelligence was incorrect. Well I never flawed intelligence from the secret services who would have thought that such a thing was possible? Presumably James Bond wasn't on the case.....oh hang on that's fiction. Reality is painstakingly boring and prone to mistakes.

The tories hate Blair for keeping them out of power for soooooo long. Unprecedented. Old labour left hates Balir for abandoning some basic principles. What the obsessed left fails to grasp is that if those principles (even if they are wonderful, fair and moral) are never voted for it doesn't mean a goddam thing.

Blair just isn't Jewish enough for that job. I had heard that Howard K. Stern was the leading candidate. As soon as he's milked everything from baby Danny Lynn he'll be ready to milk the world at the World Bank.

1974: In the two general elections of 1974 (in February and October) the SNP won 7 and then 11 seats, their share of the vote rising from 11% in 1970 to 22% and then 30%. With the Labour Party winning the latter election by a narrow margin the SNP appeared in a strong position.

To be honest, that statement you made isn't true. Labour hasn't always had a majority in Scotland, it has swung and changed over time. Granted since Maggy T it has primarily been Labour but they couldn't expect it to stay static. It'd be stupid to assume it'd always be Labour no matter who was in charge.

Be honest with yourself, even though the Public seem to hate Iraq. They seem to hate X, Y and Z he was voted back into power. I don't like him nor do I support him but that's life.

Tony Blair should fit right in at the World Bank.
It's been criticised many times in the past for allowing loans to developing countries with strings attached. For example, offer a loan to exploit natural resources on the understanding that western companies be allowed in to run the operation and take most of the profits, landing the natives with decades of debt and interest payments.
So, seeing how Tony likes to favour cronies and do them BIG favours, such as the Cash for Honours issue, he should fit right in

Seriously, I'd rather the World Bank be in the hands of a competant unknown. I think it's time America relinquished it's power (over money?! – yeah right) to someone from another country ... possibly a European country, but I wouldn't be against it going to someone from even Asia.

A week ago I would have been in favor of putting Tony Blair in charge (heck, a week ago I would've voted for him for President) but with the recent back slapping and hee-hawing with George Bush ... I'd just as soon have Gilligan or Mary Ann be the WB Pres. Mr. Blair ruined it for me by getting too chummy with Bush.

Well actually the World Bank doesn't have anything too do with the UN. The World Bank was created as part of the Bretton Woods system.

The World bank does have a lot to do with the funding of Israeli checkpoints and possibly the Apartheid wall. While they are not eligible for financing I guess the World Bank is helping Israel out with their occupation. Wolfowitz is a former JINSA contributor.

And these major conflicts had nothing to do with oil either. Shall I keep going on with examples? All of these conflicts happened before the Zionist movement even started as well.
